sorted byThe extra £100 off is almost useless, there's nothing on the store worth buying to sell to reduce the price. At best you'll get like £50 back.
Other than the fact it is Android I would take the £349 Ipad 10th gen every single time even though the ipad doesn't have a laminated display. For myself I'd take the ipad and instead of using YouTube revanced I'd get Altstore and use a similar no ad YouTube app even if it's annoying to do, because fundamentally the ipad is so much quicker and costs less! Have to say some of the reviews are doing it an injustice , I think with the store credit it's a decent offer.
Some things I wish I knew, the docked mode is actually nothing at all like Google hubs and my biggest disappointment, things like doorbell notifications are just a notification and don't show the video live. It doesn't have a power button just a fingerprint reader and volume buttons , cases are just silly price for something half decent
The good, dock works well, adds a decent bit of volume and sound quality for YouTube videos and music. Feels good in the hand, some nice user interface with Google.
For my use case it does exactly what I want it too do so no issues here. Yes there are tablets very similar for much less but there enough difference to justify for certain use cases
Apple launched all the new "I pad's" yesterday and made the cheapest one $349/£349 so it kind of screwed Google's plans. lets hope Google Price match them.
I've had a few Android tablets over the years, they always feel like big phones rather than a Tablet OS. Have to admit I have never owned an iPad or used them much, but the consensus seems to agree they are better. Android tablets make sense at the lower end of the market, you can't get an iPad for £100 (new).
Here's hoping Google don't abandon it and release a more polished gen 2.
If you want something more premium Samsung Tab s9 or s9 fe are both a good bet. S9 being closer to iPad pro in specs.
If you time it right Samsung can work out cheaper with trade in.
The last deal on s9 for £333 with buds2 Pro was spectacular.
