The AA do not recommend using this as it makes a right mess of the tyre.

It's akin to spraying your loft with insulation foam to retain heat but if applied to wooden beams and it sweats during the summer months it can have a detrimental effect to the wood itself.

Do you mean the wheel? If my tyre is popped then I could care less about having a messy one. If it makes a mess of the wheel and makes it more difficult changing the tyre then that's something to think about. I have a car with no spare wheel for the first time ever and have one of these cans, no idea how to use it or how they work.

Yeh a lot of tyre garages don’t recommend these either big mess just not worth the trouble. Tpms and run flats do the trick for me.

I’ve used these and been great but I’ve always left the nail/screw in then got the puncture repaired no problem but obviously some garages will say it can’t be because you’ve used this sealant I suppose they’ve got to hit there monthly targets somehow.

I've got a nail in a non-repairable are of the tyre. The tyre shop said to just leave it there.
No loss of pressure in the six months since I noticed it.

On the other hand, if you've got a flat tyre and you're stuck, this stuff is great.
    Worry about the tyre later.
I like Slime too. I've put it in all the tyres on my ride-on & trailer. Haven't had a flat in years.
