Many on HUKD have said that 5G in UK at present is overrated in terms of availability/connectivity, not to mention possible extra battery drain. There is a lot of truth in that.

This or the Honor 90 lite for £160?

90 lite is a bit faster, has double the storage and is a 5G device. Battery life may be a bit worse. Still, you should easily get a full day out of it.

My redmi note 8 pro was excellent for a couple of years, unfortunately it's just developed ghost touching and the phone is unusable. I've read that this is a common issue with Xiaomi phones.

Definitely steering clear of Xiaomi from now on!

Seems very similar spec to the xiaomi redmi 13. Can anyone recommend which may be the best choice for my sons first phone?
I've got Samsung so not sure on the other brands
