    Yeah, when I purchased mine from ebay around 2 months ago they were going near retail price with barely any on e-bay. Recently around 3-4 weeks ago, hundreds were flooded on John Pye auction site for around £100 per 1, since then they have flooded ebay for so cheap. Wish I waited before purchasing

    This is a really great way of reading Kindle books - the large screen makes reading a lot more flexible (you can view pages side by side in landscape mode for example) and the actual writing experience with the stylus on the screen in remarkably paper-like.

    However, I wish they would expand the note-taking functionality further and directly integrate with something like Onenote (you can sort-of integrate via emailing notes) or maybe have their own cloud based notebook software that integrates too .. it's potentially one of the best ways to take notes out there but still a bit under-developed..

    How do you use this for journaling and notes? Can the entries be synced with apple notes etc, can my 'handwritten' text change to 'typed' text if I want? (edited)

    How is this I'm comparison to the Remarkable 2

    The pen on the remarkable 2 is pretty realistic in terms of the scratchy texture and sound.

    No lag whatsoever, reviews say that the remarkable is laggy in comparison being older hardware. The remarkable is better at organising and being connected to google drive and such which the kindle lacks

    But then - just like the kindle - The battery stops charging and you're left with a useless bit of plastic : (

    Reflective rather than transmissive display - it can be a lot easier on the eyes working with a eink device than a traditional screen, and for the note taking use case it's more like working with a paper notepad.
