sorted byMost items on Amazon Warehouse have either been tried on and returned or are brand new and not suitable.
For reference, all the shoes I've personally bought have been tagged and had the appropriate packaging from new (last purchase was Chung Shi clogs - their version of Crocs and much softer and more comfortable than the brand name). They were tagged, bagged and sealed and were from Amazon Warehouse.
No soiling, no worn soles, or smells or anything weird.
There's always the caveat that Amazon Warehouse isn't always graded properly but I've had no issues with shoes or clothes. Clothing, anyway, from new I always give a quick wash. (edited)
