Any good for adding structure to a heavy clay soil garden does anyone happen to know?

    Won't be good enough imo

I've added bags of manure on it (once in spring, one in autumn) , bark over winter and after a couple of years is now decent,

According to Which?, Wickes own-brand peat-free 50l, 3 for £15, is slightly better.

Note that it no-longer says peat-free on the bag, because they only sell peat-free now, but peat-free it is (as confirmed by the ingredients printed on the back).

Full of crap and gnats. Don’t buy.

I got a few of these from Wilko when they were heavily reducing their stock to get rid of it and fully agree that this is full of wood and gnats. I opened a leftover bag of it this year thinking that it would have had plenty of time to settle but then just got webs of fungus mycelium as well!

I've noticed that there are two versions of Miracle-Gro peat free compost; Premium All Purpose and Multipurpose.
I'm not sure on the differences as I can't find much about the one from the range, but from the front of the bag, the All Purpose has 3 months feed while the Multipurpose has 6 weeks feed.
