Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 Running Shoes
The Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 is a premium stability running shoe, designed to offer added support and underfoot protection to every run.

AIRmesh Upper
Constructed using an AIRmesh upper, the Wave Inspire 18 provides the utmost breathability and comfort. Ensuring a constant airflow, the design of the upper keeps you cooler and drier for longer, especially during tough runs. The engineered mesh ensure you remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. With Mizuno's integrated DynamotionFit technology, the Wave Inspire 18 is tailored to fit like a glove, it works to adapt to the gait cycle allowing for a more personalised, seamless fit as you strive for new PB's. The shoes feature a medial support system, to help prevent over-pronation, keeping feet more stable during running. A recycled PET shoelace, lacing system makes it easy to secure for a comfortable fit. As well as this, a soft and padded tongue and ankle collar will reduce the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.

Mizuno Enerzy Midsole
A combination of highly technical fabrics and constructions provide you with enhanced comfort and cushioning. The main technology enhancing the performance of the midsoles are the Mizuno Enerzy, which is soft and responsive, ensuring it provides a supportive function to avoid overpronation. The new redesigned double fan-shaped Mizuno Wave plate works in perfect tandem with Mizuno Enerzy to guarantee higher stability from landing transition, whilst providing an overall softer and more responsive running experience. Mizuno Enerzy has been developed with the mission to enhance performance capacity and guarantee that athletes retain more of the energy that they put in. All whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. Alongside this, an U4ic compound provides lightweight cushioned rides with a high level of rebound, and Premium Insock ensures additional comfort and cushioning when or if you might need it.

X-10 Outsole
The outsoles of the Inspire 18's are made with a new construction of X-10, the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again. The midsole and outsole technologies work together with SmoothRide technology to provide a fluid, rocking-chair-like transition. As the foot hits the ground, SmoothRide Engineering kicks in with heel flex grooves promoting a natural back-to-front movement. The forefoot flex grooves and flex controllers then work together to continue the smooth forward motion resulting in an efficient fluid motion that allows runners to harness their power.

What's the fitting like in these shoes. Are they God for wide feet
    Viva_Elbonia's avatar
Yes. They are one of the wider fitting running shoes. Length is accurate and plenty of width especially in the toe box. I'm a 10 with fairly wide feet and these are perfect for me.

Great price. Recommended if you need support with overpronation. Not seen better quality trainers at this price point.

    Great price and find

Excellent shoe. Will tell your foot what to do, rather than a big pile of ASICS blomange which just feels "right nice", but that's about it.

Bit harsh. I've been very happy with my Asics Kayanos for overpronation. They certainly don't look as massively supportive as these, nor the Brooks Addictions I used to use, but they work for me.

I'd be happy to try out a pair of these Mizunos though as it's a great price, and I've never seen Kayanos go below £80.

I think I paid double this for these last year. Nicest running shoes I’ve had in a long time

Excellent shoes. I already picked up a pair of these recently for £65, to get ready for a half marathon in October, and they are great for longer runs. Very comfy and a nice wide toe box. Sizings are perfect too. Bargain.

Lots of high praise for these shoes so I am tempted to give them a go. What's the retailer like for service and returns? Is this another Milk it Ashley brand?
    JazzyJace's avatar
Nope - No Mike Cashly involvement at all. Only Issue I have had after 10+ orders is that they use Evri as a courier.

Good price, described as a "moderate" stability running shoe FYI.

Worth spending £20 more to get the Inspire 19?
    Viva_Elbonia's avatar
Honestly probably not. They should be pretty similar. Unless you like something cosmetic in the 19s that the 18s don't have. I'd imagine they'll do the same job.
