Yes, sure. I paid 3 euros from the airport to the city centre by bus. 30 mins ride, and you can use the bus ticket for your return within 14 days. If you feel rich, you can take a taxi for 20 EUR.

For the adventurous types, this is a great location from which to climb Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in the Atlas mountains. It's a full day's walk from Imlil to the mountain base camp and then takes about 4 hours to get from the base camp to the peak. Or 2 hours if you take the direct route, which I stupidly did with a friend 30 years ago, wearing a pair of Next shoes and carrying a bottle of water and a packet of fags. You get a great view across the Sahara Desert from the top.

Cheap price but Moroccan holidays are dropping- Tui have been cutting their prices too.

The FCDO website seems to have updated the risk in Morocco with a high risk of terrorism targeting Western citizens.

Worth checking before booking.

I went Imlil a few years back and it was a very different experience to the hustle of Marrakech. It was pleasant, lots of hiking treks, very hospitable locals, lovely surroundings and about an hour away from Ourika valley waterfalls. Highly recommend at this price. (edited)

A word of warning - the last time I booked a cheap deal for Marrakesh, the guest house cancelled my room 3 days before I was due to fly. Obviously too cheap for them and they wanted to make more money as I found my room still available on other sites!

How would the trek be for not so fit people, we can walk fine, but not used to hiking and how long did it take you? Also, please give me any other tips or advice or recommendations

been a decade or so since I visited but can say countryside vicinity of Marrakech fantastic just like it shows in the promo video. Kind of like parts of Portugal were early 1970s (if you old enough to remember), some ways rudimentary but happy, healthy, friendly & thriving. I'm not going walking with sticks & donkeys, just saying it's certainly a lovely & interesting part of the world. This offer seems an incredible bargain.

I stayed in this exact accomodation last Easter. It has beautiful views as you can see from the photo. It's up a bit of a steep hill above the village. Parking the rental car outside it was pretty nerve wracking as there was quite a drop from the edge of the road. The village is a lovely mountain village but there was limited choice for eating at that time of year.
