Good for help laying patio tiles ?
What's the difference between a white or black mallet? Some even have half and half. (edited)

Two sides - The white side ensures that you do not create streaks on light surfaces. The black side is ideal for rugged outdoor work.

I've never heard of it happening.

Just checked, I bought this last year at £5.50. Only use it for tent/awning/windbreaker peg and poles. Its good and heavy and this is a good price.

Why is there a £1.16 difference between black and white (in favour of black one). Surely it doesn't have anything to do with the colour...

White tend not to mark slabs when hitting them. Black can leave marks on some materials, which is a pain to remove.

I don’t usually do any DIY, I don’t have a house of my own yet, but one thing I will have soon, is a rubber mallet, thanks OP.

I bought a mallet 20 years ago - really cheap price, really good value - never used it - a real bargain though.

In my experience, a mallet with a round shaft will be much more likely to spin and get loose than a mallet with an oval shaft.

Why does this have 873 heat? Possibly because Timmy Mallet v2.0 will be hunting you with this if you don't upvote?
