Does it actually work though? I have purchased 1 from ebay few years back. I used it on a bobbled bed sheet. Took about 20 mins to do the smallest area

I have an ali express budget one but even that is really good.

Im visiting iceland soon and ive smartened up all my old warm clothes by giving them a quick pass with one of these. It took maybe 5 minutes for quite a bobbly fleece jumper to get it looking almost new.

The problem with your bed sheet was possibly that it was already very fine thread, so while the bobbles were noticeable they weren't very "tall" on the surface of the cloth for the blades to catch?

Debating whether to wait and see if it goes down again to a similar amount as in no rush

why havent they made one that is much larger? im tempted to try building a custom rig to house 4/5 close together to give a bigger surface area.

No need to pay such a high price just because it has a 'Philips' brand on it. Widely available equivalents for under a fiver. Excellent one in Lidl recently for £3.99!
