Note: Flights from Hamburg aren't included, don't pay £160pp to the cruise line for them. I'd recommend booking a night or two in Hamburg then getting a cheap flight home.

It's really not if you have just a tiny bit of common sense.

Mrs sicourt and I did this last year on the same sort of cheap deal. We got a cheap one way advance train to Southampton, did the cruise, which was a really good short break and a bargain all things included considered, stayed on in Hamburg on Tesco vouchers for another couple of days, a cheap flight back to London on Ryanair, then got a bus back home! QV was a lovely ship, food really good, good facilities, v nice place to spend a couple of days - note that Cunard cruises are not ‘party ship’ and although they did have a small kids club, I think the vibe was more adult focussed than some other companies, which was fine for us (edited)

Shame it doesnt return as i live in southampton and wont go on a plane for less than a week away as too much hassle in my mind.  Probably would have when younger as nothing seemed hassle then
