About this deal

The Rab Xenon 2.0 Jacket is a light and versatile synthetic insulated jacket made from recycled materials. The Xenon 2.0 is warm and packable enough to be used as an outer or emergency layer in cool conditions, and breathable enough to be worn as a midlayer in very cold weather. The outer is lightweight and packable recycled 30 denier Pertex Quantum which is treated with a fluorocarbon free DWR for shower resistance. The Xenon 2.0 is insulated with 100% post-consumer recycled PrimaLoft Silver which is packable and retains its insulating properties even when wet.

The insulation in the Xenon 2.0 Jacket is distributed in 2 ways. The shoulders and arms use sheet insulation for increased protection and to reduce stitching in high wear areas. The torso uses quilted insulation to increase breathability. The main zip is a 2-way YKK VISLON zipper with an internal baffle to keep out the cold and a chin guard for comfort. There are two concealed YKK zipped hand pockets and one YKK zipped internal pocket which doubles as a stuff sack. The insulated hood is low profile so will go under other layers easily.

This jacket is so incredibly thin and won't keep you warm even though it's a Rab!

“The Rab Xenon 2.0 ranks as one of the best insulated outer layers you can buy. Its impressive warmth, light weight, and wind resistance make it ideal as a decently warm option that will keep the wind from chilling you on cold mountain days. While the jacket could perform better in terms of its fit and breathability, the approachable price helps make it a great value and a solid choice in outerwear. We highly recommend this piece for adventurers on a budget“

Shame, not the Xenon 2 I was thinking of.

Was about to buy a different Rab jacket until I realised they are now made in Myanmar, which has the worst record of slave labour camps.
Went for a Patagonia instead as they are much more ethical.  Thought I would flag in case anyone is interested
