Key Features

The F35 is a true full range 2 1/2-way 5.25” floorstanding loudspeaker that was designed to provide true high-end sound quality. It will deliver an impressive combination of wide frequency range, uncompressed dynamic range and low distortion across the entire audible spectrum.

High frequency response is supported by 1 inch aluminum dome tweeters that were derived from Revel’s Performa3 series. Low/Mid range frequency response is supported by 5.25” Aluminium cone woofers featuring low-distortion motor-structures for greater clarity and accuracy with improved sensitivity and output capability.

The patented wave guide design improves tweeter to woofer blend and significantly improves off-axis response for consistent performance over a wide listening area. In doing this they sacrificed no details by making sure no fasteners were visible allowing the speaker to show enhancing smooth lines of the cabinet and magnetically attached grilles. To finish the enclosure, they selected high gloss black and white finishes to highlight the features of this beautiful speaker.

In case it helps anyone, Peter Tyson have an open box pair of these for £575 on ebay with code BLUEBELL10

Had these in my Ebay watch list since freddyfenders post, when they put them down to £699 the other day on there the code bluebell10 made them just under £630 with 5 left in stock, I was going to buy at that great price but PT quickly ended the listing early with the same sale count of 40 sold not 45, so no code on PT sitemeans they did not want to sell with the extra discount if they still have stock instore.

    Hi All,
Would you recommend a subwoofer to compete with these? Are these any good to pair with a TV? Netflix, Disney? Or better to go with a soundbar? Any advise would be appreciated.

I think these will have enough base

How would these compare to the 5040

The 5040's would need a subwoofer to compete with these as they lack low end. The 5040s also send out random frequencies sideways to reflect off the walls, including a lot of extra sibilance, while the wall reflections for the F35 are much smoother. The mids match up fairly well. Also be wary of MTM (mid/tweeter/mid) designs like the 5040 because the interference pattern makes the sweet spot to sit for best sound very small.

In terms of fitting them in a small space, 5040's might make more sense. They are physically small and can go close (<50cm) to the wall as there's no bass to get boomy. But if you have the space, I'd expect there to be no reason to prefer the sound over that of the F35.

I use data from spinorama.org and its contributors to get an idea of how different speakers perform:

My phone launched at £1500+ doesn't mean it was good (edited)

That's why I always check the comments here, there's often useful advice and, if appropriate, alternatives to consider.

I was just about to get this Arcam SA30, but I'd like to build 5.1 system for movies based on these Revels. Any recommendations, please?
