About this deal

Looks a good price for this - the lowest price it has been for the full sized version. The microSD version is £27.49 here. Even though rated at V30 speeds, reviews show write speeds are close to the 130MB/s advertised speeds and is faster than some V60 rated cards. These cards are also designed by Samsung to have higher endurance and are designed for upto 10000 wipe cycles. Comes with a 10 year warranty.

Key Features

Increased Reliability and Durability
The Samsung PRO Ultimate provides professional photographers and creators with reliable performance, thanks to the controller's enhanced Error Correction Code (ECC) engine and multi-proof protection features that ensure safer data storage over extended periods.

With an upgrade to the ECC's Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code from a 1-kilobyte (KB) to a 2 KB engine, the PRO Ultimate offers enhanced durability for a higher volume of write-and-erase cycles.

The PRO Ultimate passes the industry's most rigorous test settings and offers worry-free usage even in challenging environments, with features such as water protection for up to 72 hours in two meters of depth, drop-proof design from heights of up to five meters, wear-out protection for up to 10,000 swipes, as well as X-ray and magnetic protection. It can also operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F). Additionally, the PRO Ultimate SD card provides shock protection of up to 1,500 g.

Maximized Power Efficiency With 28 nm Controller
A new 28-nanometer (nm) controller brings a 37% improvement in power efficiency compared to Samsung's previous lines that include the 55 nm controller. This gives consumers the ability to use their devices for extended periods without the need for frequent recharging, allowing users to make the most out of their device's battery life.

In actual write tests it outperforms some UHS-II cards, because they only need to do 60MB/s write to gain a V60 certification! Lexar and some others, are taking the mickey by certifying cards as V60 UHS-II but with write speeds worse than this card.

This is because there are different implementations of UHS-1 - this for example uses an equivalent of the Sandisk DDR225 updated spec, which is upto 140MB/s write and 200MB/s read, which this is compliant with.

If the micro SD version is cheaper, why not buy that and use an adaptor ?

OK, theoretically there's a second set of contacts to fail, but I've never had such a problem.

I posted both in the deal so people can make a judgement on what version they have. Apparently some people think the full sized versions are less likely to overheat, but not tested that out.
