    Marketing blah blah blah.
I use microSD cards in my outdoor CCTV cameras all year round, in the hot sun and on a frosty night. During heavy rains and windy times. Lasting for years without any problems.

Same here and no problems whatsoever, I’ve got a few 4k cameras with normal micro sd cards in them and have been using for several years and their still going strong (edited)

FYI - got one this morning from Amazon. Arrived unformatted, attempted to format with official SD card formatting tool. Initially recognised it, then failed while formatting. Not recognised in any other device. I believe this is yet another example of fakes getting into the system as SanDisk are generally good with QC.

Been using normal Samsung Evo cards in security cams and dash for years. No issues. (edited)

Has anybody used one of these in a Blackvue dashcam? Blackvue make a big song and dance about only using their massively overpriced cards...

Yep have used a 128GB version of this and others in a Blackvue 750S. Ironically the Blackvue one that came with it died after about 18 months...

Gets a lot more heat on a car dash cam than a security camera so I'd be inclined to use this card for that reason.

Just had the same thing happen to me.

I'm getting a dash cam (road angel halo pro) which says it supports up to 128gb. Why is there a limit? What will happen if I stick in a card with more memory?
    ashyt16turbo's avatar
It depends on the controller they're using in the device.
It may only be able to address a maximum of 128gb.
However, often it can handle more, but whether it will do reliably is another question.
I'm guessing they have only tested up to 128gb.
It's possible it will accept higher, but maybe card dependant. (edited)

5 months interest free offer for me too. Good if buying multiple cards I guess.

Do these offers build credit score?

I have been using Amazon Basic 256GB card in my Nextbase for over 2 years with no issues.

Is the high endurance perhaps backed by a long warranty?

Stopped using SanDisk for the last few SD cards I've bought as I had a couple that had issues. I bought a Samsung Evo & it's much faster than the SanDisks ever were

The "Max" endurance version offers more recording hours. The 64GB Max endurance card is at a similar price point and offers 30,000 hours versus this 256GB High endurance version at 20,000 hours.

I've been using ordinary sd cards in cctv cams for about 9 years = 78000 hrs, and no issues at all.

    I have the same question
