like all this type...euro fizz. Government introduced minimum apple extract to ensure it had some essence of 'fruit' added(from skin extract)..used to be 17%. It isn't cider but it is conning you into thinking so...COLD DEAL. sorry op. Tastes of nothing but chemical - try it when it is warm.......

Probably one rung up the ladder from strongbow, how they have the cheek to call that drain cleaner cider is beyond me

Any recommendations for a proper cider folks? Not usually my thing but the missus likes one now and again, and they are nice on a hot day in summer. (edited)

    My top 3:

    Henney's Dry
    Weston's Organic 6%
    Knight's Malvern Gold

price is probably fair enough - not a fan though - sticky, treacley fizzy and re-constituted like many mass-produced "ciders". We do put up with a lot of cack in this country, which is a shame as we make some great drinks.

I'm a middle aged man who mainly drinks cider and always has done, and this is one of my favourites. Sure, it doesn't match up to the taste of premium ciders, but it's decent for the price and I like that the ABV is on the lower side so you can have more than a couple without falling over. Each to their own!

    For the price, it's expensive

The sad thing is Westons still do some lovely ciders, but it's the cr*p ones like this that get put on draught in pubs because they're the cheapest ones they produce. So unless the pubs really care about the quality of the selection they have on draught, you end up with ciders like Stowford Press and Thatcher's Gold. I still occassionally have them though because a lot of places only have one cider on tap! Such a shame that the quality ciders aren't easier to come by.

As much as I like most Westons ciders, this one tastes vile. It's on par with Strongbow. Disgusting.

The worst cider ever, bar none.

They changed the recipe for this stuff back in 2019 to add artificial sweeteners, and it now tastes terrible. Real shame because Westons make some other brilliant ciders

Had a pint of this stuff last week for the first time. Worst cider I've ever tasted. Aspall draught cider all day long for me.
