    Considerably, it has 'John innes' added to it but depends on what you're using it for and how much. For filing pots I would add sharp sand to improve drainage and some broken tiles at the bottom of the pot too. Another good tip is to add mulch or top soil at surface level to prevent compost drying out when the warmer summer days eventually arrive!

    Thanks OP. Just picked some up at local Homebase. SEL still said £8 but scanned at £5. Bargain for 50L.

    I like this compost but cant get it locally anywhere near that price. I have used it for a few years now but had to change make due to silly prices they now ask for compost

    I know, not only has the price of compost gone up the quality has receded too since its now peat free. I tend to mix mine more with sharp sand which costs £4 a bag. Improves drainage and means I use less compost. (edited)
