When you pay £205 for a Poco X6 Pro 12/512 you realise that this is NOT a deal, just saying

    hotukdeals.com/dea…172

Better screen, much better CPU, better dust & water resistance, lighter, Better gorilla glass, Better GPU, Better Sony IMX Camera, Better Selfie camera, better speakers, better video recording, faster charging, No virtual proximity sensor (THANK GOD), looks better too.

    Anything I missed?

Seems pretty good for £90 more.

EDIT: Forgot to mention 2 Years UK Warranty and UK Plug from the Mi store is a big plus for some. (edited)

Poco F6 Vanilla seems to be the way to go for me....

Unless heavy gaming - the F6 has Basically identical performance to the F6 Pro, only having a very slightly worse GPU, and it is slight. The F6 Is more efficient, has better AI capabilities by a mile (If you care about that)

But moreover, its around 30g lighter (As its got a plastic frame instead of metal), has a stronger Gorilla Glass Victus (Vs Gorilla Glass 5 on the Pro which is worse) it has BT 5.4 instead of 5.3 on the Pro, Some of the camera shots in the video above do look better on the F6 Vanilla, and it has a better selfie cam.

Screen is marginally worse on the F6 Vanilla, but still flagship level, and from the video above I cannot see much difference, the tones of the F6 seem to look a bit better to me.

Overall I cannot see a justification in spending the extra for the Pro, its not really a meaningful improvement worth of the "Pro", its a sidegrade in some things and a slight upgrade in others

has a stronger Gorilla Glass Victus (Vs Gorilla Glass 5 on the Pro which is worse)
Gorilla Glass Victus is softer which means better shatter resistance but worse scratch resistance. I'd prefer Gorilla Glass 5 personally as I don't like screen protectors.

So my initial thoughts coming from Xiaomi 12T Pro.

Had to be the Poco F6 Pro, for the 120W charge speeds.

Coming from my other phone this is BLAZING fast and the screen is absolutely gorgeous to look at, unbelievable brightness and clarity on a £359 phone!!

    Battery life has been amazing.

Camera might not be flagship best, but MORE than adequate for every day use.

For features and everyday use, you'd genuinely think this phone was much more expensive than it is!! (edited)

Had the Xiaomi 13T Pro few weeks now, my first 5G and xiaomi phone, wow great phone and specs for what I paid for it, very happy so far.

If anyone looking for a powerbank to supports these 120w Xiaomi phones, I've just recently had the cuktech 20, other versions like the 15 or 10 models support it to for cheaper versions. Can confirm, it fully charges my phone at 120w max fast charge. 0-100 in just under 20 minutes or so .

For those umming and arring like myself, particularly about the camera...the gsmarena reviews mentioned are actually quite helpful. As they generally take photos of the same buildings / similar style you can find a review for your current phone / competitor phone, and then look at the image quality side by side. Can see a good improvement over my Poco M4 Pro that way, particularly on first zoom into each picture.

So maybe not the absolute best available at present (camera wise), but definitely better than my current phone.

    Full review...

is it possible to stack codes or no? Also any good reviews of this?

After missing out on the S24 deals I'm tempted by the pro. Should be a good upgrade from P30 Pro right, just not as strong zoom?
    solid's avatar
Look for Redmi Turbo 3 reviews -- it's the same as the F6

K70 is the F6 Pro I believe? Plenty of reviews for that, too
  7. bigup's avatar
no esim, damn shame, handy to have when travelling and using Airalo.

Lots of other phones support eSIM these days. For me, dual physical SIM is more important right now. However, my ideal phone would also have eSIM. But I'm just greedy, lol! (edited)
  8. mith's avatar
I'm still not decided if I should go for this or another like Oneplus..

Also this should be helpful for those of you who bought the phone already (guess it'll work for the pro version too)

    little_green's avatar
I'm holding out to the Nord 4 it looks nice
  9. Paul_S77's avatar
Thanks, good review. I'm so torn...I personally think the pictures in this review actually look pretty good. But other reviews moan about the camera and show worse pictures.

Everything else about the phone shouts "buy me!" (edited)

£251.41 on AliExpress for the F6 so well worth it to pay a bit more for the UK charger and 2-year warranty in the UK.

Just to mention for anyone going for the F6 non pro version - for compatible cases search for the Redmi Turbo 3 which is the chinese version name of the same f6 non pro.
    chancooluk's avatar
Prob worth remembering that it comes with a grey TPU case in the box, so you may not need to buy one straight away. (edited)
  14. solid's avatar
The F6 and F6 Pro CPUs seem so similar, I'm struggling for a reason why anyone would pay the extra for the Pro!
    Phil452's avatar
They are pretty much identical, this is what i'm confused by, te F6 Pro has a marginally better screen, slightly faster charging, and BT 5.3 instead of 5,4 because its chip is a year old?

    nanoreview.net/en/…n-2

CPUs are the same basically, the F6 Pro might be slightly faster in GPU intensive games, but that will be slight, and how many people actually care about that?
  15. gdale1's avatar
Hi I'm not particularly techy but what is the best way to copy apps data photos etc from my old F3 to my shiny new F6, do you put the SIM card in the F6 before transferring. Many thanks for any advice
    Paul_f1's avatar
They have an app called mi mover, idk how good it is though
  16. jimbobule's avatar
Typing this on new f6 pro.. with my F3 to hand. For those with F3 main difference for day to day seems to be better display screen and camera.

The F3 with speedy hyper OS is still dark good. An F6 for my wife arrives soon, will compare too.
    solid's avatar
    Yes, please keep us posted

Specifically, is the camera on the F6 Pro worth the extra money over the vanilla F6
  17. SirQontax's avatar
Is anyone able to comment on how well the camera does for capturing subjects that might move a bit more (i.e. pets, children, etc)? I've seen the samples from reviews and they look fairly decent, but I'd be interested to hear some true to life experience.

I was going to pickup a Pixel 8, but the specs on this phone are insane for the price. I'm very tempted by the screen especially.
    solid's avatar
Give me a day, and I'll try and let you know
  18. solid's avatar
Is there anyway to use home screen gestures on a 3rd party launcher?
    idbsjk's avatar
App called "Gesture Control" works really well for me as it runs properly with background autostart, hide controls, tweak sensitivity etc.

Only no go is there's no easy way to hide the bottom nav bar still but I still prefer having swiper gestures
  19. komi's avatar
Does anyone know what the update support length will be on this, how many years?? (edited)

3 years software, 4 years security.

Heat added, but no funds yet to upgrade💯✅ , still redmi note 9 pro lurking around as my daily? Do you guys think its time for an upgrade?? Should i do it or not i'm really tempted to get the F6 12gb +512gb version with a free smart band 8 ?Should I ? Or should I not?💯✅ 🙏✅
    Caz42's avatar
Time to treat yourself, these are fab prices for such great specs
  21. lozmeister's avatar
Is the F6 Pro worth an upgrade from a Poco F2 Pro?
    jujuzeez's avatar
    yes, even from F3
  22. gt94sss2's avatar
Can anyone confirm if they can login to Lloyds Bank/Halifax or the Bank of Scotland app using fingerprints?

The HyperOS update to the F3 broke this though I'm sure it's only temporary..
    herby247's avatar
It also disabled on my xiaomi 12t pro.
    ...
I can confirm the fingerprint works on poco f6 Pro with Halifax.
  23. p3108's avatar
are Xiaomi (POCO) back with the value here again? F6 looks decent to me for that price!

I think so, the 1tb f6 pro is a steal i think with code and £50 trade in
  24. Percy247's avatar
Top deal this. Much better than UK deals for Poco F5 last year. My F5 is still going strong that was bought from AliExpress last May for £250. At these prices it's better for most people to buy from the UK store with a three pin charger and warranty. Now I just need stock up on Mii points to take advantage next year. (edited)
    innocent's avatar
Agreed, best to buy at home. More certainty,,
  25. Adib_Qassim's avatar
I am unclear also. I tried foxway. It offered my about £5. How do you get the £50? I read in comments you get value of phone plus £50. How do they match purchase with trade-in? I don't understand
  26. komi's avatar
If you had a choice and money was not part of it then which would you go for Pixel 8a (128gb version) or the F6 (12/512gb).

    the Xiaomi 💯

That black case looks like an old petrol pump.

I'd prefer a clear one to show my green f6 but not too worried.
  28. KeithHancox's avatar
Not happy. Just tried to buy the F6 about 6 times (comes up payment failed, there is more than enough money in that account) but looks like it deleted all my mi points. Hoping that when it disappears from my awaiting payments section that they refund my mi points. If not I will be done with anything Xiaomi related. 😡
    trueno2k's avatar
Hope you were able to get your purchase through, I had made mine not too long ago ( finally stopped resisting and took the plunge ), so if you haven't made a purchase yet, then try again as soon as you can...
  29. getknk's avatar
    Great phone and specs.
Shame that they regressed/not-included wireless charging which I believe F5 Pro had?

Said that somehow the 'ODD' numbers of POCO seems to be market hits (F1, F3, F5..)
    May skip this time..
    wipeout's avatar
I would say the F2 was a hit with the pop-up front camera.
  30. realdeals's avatar
    Heat added 🔥

But it's very disappointing to see they have removed the 50mp telephoto lens that resides in the K70 Pro and downgraded the Ultrawide back to the dreaded 8mp. (edited)
    ShamWow's avatar
This is based on a K70 which had the 8mp ultrawide in china also
  31. theprofinuk's avatar
Is this better in terms of camera compared to the Samsung S24?
    jujuzeez's avatar
always think of the length of OS updates first...Samsung miles ahead of xiaomi in that aspect
  32. Real_Loki's avatar
How do these models compare to say the Samsung Galaxy S23/24? Very interested but would like to know which areas they're lacking in comparison, such as processor, camera etc.
    idbsjk's avatar
Camera is normally the main compromise, performance wise will be similar to s23, s24 has a better processor
  33. innocent's avatar
Extreme heat for all the various F6 posted after one has gone through the various discounts, possible gifts, trade ins plus use of mi points if available and then it depends on specifications/preferences and the spending power. I realise this is stating the obvious but I am only here to read the comments from heavyweights,,, 💪
    quake.ee's avatar
    Not buying this time?:)
  34. rpl4703's avatar
Ended up going for the F6 Pro 512gb for £337 with Mi points. A nice upgrade from my F3.
  35. Adib_Qassim's avatar
I would be greaful if someone could explain how the trade-in works. I tried foxway it offered me £5 for an old pocophone f1. Where is the £50 trade in? If I can get it, how do I apply it to purchase of F6?
    quake.ee's avatar
You apply for trade-in before you place new phone to the cart. Then at a checkout you will have to confirm your bank details if you chose "trade-in revate". After you complete the purchase you will receive an email with instructions how to send your old phone.

Camera app port Incoming for the F6
    solid's avatar
Is that a guess, or have you heard something?

Because a port would swing me to getting the F6, instead of the Pro
  37. Shah_AlivUs's avatar
Ok .. guys, please help me.

Mi Mi8 pro still works well at £270 off for the F6 seems amazing... Am I likely to see these prices for when I need to change in a few years time!
