What is a photo cake?
Photo cakes allow you to create a personalised cake by adding a photo of your choice as a topper. These cakes are available in a few different supermarkets, including Asda and Morrisons. Most photo cakes in UK supermarkets are supplied from Big Day Cakes by Intercake.

How to get a photo cake from Asda
Photo cakes Asda are the perfect way to celebrate your special occasions. You can find them in a few different stores such as Morrisons and Asda cake printing, here’s how to get one:

  • Go to the Big Day Cakes website and find out where your local store is which offers photo cakes.
  • You can do this by using their ‘Find a store’ feature, just enter your location and select a store from the ones that pop up.
  • Once you have found a store, head to the store, but make sure you have the photo you want on your Asda photo birthday cake on your phone, memory stick or flash drive.
  • Then you can add a frame and message, when that’s done you can print out the receipt and hand it over at the counter. Then your Asda photo cake will be made.
  • When the cake is done you can collect your cake with the topper and pay at the till.
  • You can also get a photo cake at Morrisons and other selected supermarkets.

How long does it take for an Asda “Design your Own Cake” to be made?
You can design your cake 2 weeks in advance of when you need to collect it. But usually, it only takes around 10 minutes for your cake to be prepared. All you have to do is hand your receipt to a member of staff in an Asda store then your cake will be made shortly. There’s no need to pre-order the cake, although this may be a good idea if you are placing a large order just to make sure they have everything you need in stock. If you can’t make it to a store then you can always order online at Big Day Cakes.
