Should i buy a Ikea leather sofa or DFS leather sofa?

every leather one we looked at dfs was made in china, ask them .when you are there where.they are made, most places are the same with leather ones

Please ignore the foolish comment, 80% of DFS sofas are made abroad, predominantly China. The leather is of very poor quality and the colour will come off as it is sprayed on, not dyed.
The only dfs sofas made in UK are the fabric sofas.
Glides an be purchased on Ebay for 3 pounds, they dont work on laminate or wood flooring

Dfs.✔. Weve had our leather sofa 10 yrs now. Still going strong after 1 child bouncing all over it. Dont fall for the warranty scam.

My ikea leather sofa is hard and although not uncomfortable, I wouldn't describe it as ' comfy'

We have a dfs sofa and love it....The rest of the house is ikea though. Which do you prefer sitting on?

I've a dfs sofa very pleased. don't buy the insurance

I do find the DFS sofa are more comfortable compared to the IKEA sofa.

have a look at the marlow at harveys, we have one and thick leather, have dog on.it and kids and its fine, price changes all time tho paid 1400 for a 2 and 3 seater

I know one factory is in Long Eaton Nottingham and one in Alfreton Derby.

Straight from your link; "many" is a weasel word, many in regards to what??

I suspect "many" of their sofas are made in China, because "many" of them turn up in Chinese furniture markets, as the factories will make copies for themselves to sell, once they have the design from the Western company.

Even the ones "made" in the UK, may just be assembled from parts shipped in from china, as there are very few places left in the UK that can make leather.

I am not impressed by DFS furniture, some is decent, much is not; Ikea's may not always be comfortable, but it is usually built to last.

I can confirm that they do completely manufacture at least some of them in the U.K. - in codnor/heanor. They make them from scratch there. My friend works for them, and as we are both work in the furniture industry he has sent me numerous videos of the equipment they use and the process they have and it's staggering.

I got sent an e-mail asking me what I thought of my sofa and I told them there was not much support in the middle where I liked to sit. I got a phone call the next day from the store manager who arranged a guy to come around and add more support. So sounds like pretty good customer service to me.

It does look really comfy but I was looking for a corner sofa due to lack of space.

Depends on the quality, same as everything there are good and bad things in every country, mine was made in China and seems extremely well made , some of the cheaper dfs sofas have pvc sides and backs, when we looked at dfs they had different grades of leather on each sofa so you could pay more to upgrade
