I JUST QUIT SKY - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Hi. I just gave my 1 month's notice to SKY as I feel that paying the full wack of £53 is too much. They used to give me a half price offer before but this time they didn't and called my bluff it seems.
Anyone know if they will come back with an offer before the month's notice is up?
or is that it and after 10 years they will cut all ties with me?
Appreciate any advice folks.

Hold tight, i have had Sky half price now for over 4 years changing between my name and my wife's.

Most people crumble to easily and give in.

Also accumulated 4 Hd boxes in the process as well.

I'm in the same boat, service is due to be cut off on the 25th.

If no offer appears, I'll just make do without it until an offer for new customers appears.

They will be harrasing you with non stop phone calls soon enough just wait till you get a good one.

Hi its been 3 weeks since my 12 months half price was cancelled and they haven't offered me anything,only when i phone to cancel in september did they offer me 25% off 12 months again but i refused and sky went off on the 19th oct not heard anything from them since!
Good luck on getting a deal with them but don't hold your breath!

Omg ...good luck with them, we had a three year battle with the a**holes, we did nothing wrong, it went to solicitors, instructed by me and we finally saw the back of the to**ers...
Dear m,e god forbid anyone get involved with Sky...Bt or British gas.. the pits the lot of them. Rant over.
Wish you every sucess in being free of these losers.. it' like quitting fags..but harder..so much harder.

my 12 months 1/2 price ran out 8 months ago, i rang up and when it came to an end and got a further 6 months @ 1/2 price. ring up last month and played hard ball, pushed them to far (i turned down £36 pm for full package as i was packing £26.50 and tried getting that price) and they told me when i'd be cut off and haven't rang back since. I've been without sky for 2 weeks now and while i admit i didn't really watch it when i had it i miss it now

Mine ended yesterday no further deals nothing, got an Email about a week ago saying they were sorry i was leaving but no signs of a deal. Other half is already ripping into me to get it back, but i must stay in charge.

I was spending a fortune on sky and had virgin broadband and phone line so thought Id go for one provider with the best offer... Sky were great and offered the best by £2 difference but their broadband is dire as its only ADSL so I played Virgin and got a mega deal and a loyalty bonus so Im happy now... even though sky keep trying to get me back with customer satisfaction surveys and calls offering me better package deals etc. Virgin are meant to be rolling out further a field after xmas so may be woth you checking if youre areas due cable

I doubt it would be clarkey the bottom of my road is another road whcih has it but our road doesnt, which is wierd as its a housing estate but shrug

TBH, I dont you'll miss it

we have 2 kids and 2 adults in the household and ditched sky last year due to spiraling costs. Don't miss it one jot with the amount of FV channels that's available

i had friends and family code half price for 12 months, then 6 months half price after, now 6 months were up, i tried my hand again and they let me leave, services due to be cut off on 23rd, not had a call from them yet, sky go no longer works as im not actively a customer with them (though tv doesnt stop till 23rd..

they did make me an offer, but it was 6 months half price, but ONLY if i entered a 12 month contract where id have to pay full amount after 6 months, (or reduce package to no sports and movies for £35 a month..
