There are two ways to play Skylanders Trap Team: use a Skylander hero, or trap one of Skylands’ most wanted and bring them over to your cause. When you ensnare an enemy in a Trap, they’re transported into the real world via the Traptanium Portal. A built-in speaker in the Traptanium Portal allows you to hear the voices of captured villains, bringing the adventure right into the room – or you can return them to Skylands and play as them! Switch between playing as a hero or a villain at any time and put together your ultimate Trap Team to defeat Kaos!
More than 50 additional playable characters are available, including Trap Master Skylanders, who charge into battle with gigantic crystal weapons, core Skylanders, new versions of fan favourite Skylanders, pint-sized but powerful Skylanders Minis and, of course, a range of in-game villains! If you’ve already built up a collection of Skylanders figures, Skylanders Trap Team is also compatible with 175 characters from Skylanders SWAP Force, Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure!

The Wii U GamePad controller removes the traditional barriers between you, your games, and your TV by creating a second window into the video game world. It incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio LCD touch screen, as well as traditional button controls and two analog sticks.
