I'm getting virgin media installed in a few days and had a question that I can't find anywhere online.
They will run the cables to the front of my house but my tv is to the back, so how to they get the connection there for the box?
I really don't want cables running through my house so not sure how they will do it.
I've had sky previously which had the dish to the side of my house, which was easy for the connection to the tv but can't see how they can do it with connections to the front.
If anyone could answer it and put my mind at ease that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the reply guys. Didn't even know over the roof was an option. …Thanks for the reply guys. Didn't even know over the roof was an option. They could go round the house as I'm an end of Terrance but would be a long cable to do it.
Hi Virgin will not take cable over the roof, It will be around the house as end of terrace"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/32964384","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"andynicol"},"datePublished":"2018-01-01T12:45:54.000Z","text":"

They will run the cable, whatever the length, via the easiest method, which is usually around the outside, clipped along the wall, they won't run cables over a roof, or under the floor.
I had same situation as the OP few years ago, wanted cables routed under floor from front of house to the rear, installer refused point blank for 'H&S' reasons there not allowed under a floor (or roof, or attic) left me a drum of cable, dissapeared for an hour or so then came back and made the connections after I had routed the cable."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/32965088","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Van1973"},"datePublished":"2018-01-01T14:20:13.000Z","text":"

Agree - if you want it routed under floorboard run a draw cable yourself before their visit and when the installer arrives he will use it to pull through the cable but they won't mess around under your floorboard themselves - their moto is TIME IS MONEY!
They will do the quickest job for them - round the external of the house or clipped to the top of skirting boards which looks awful!"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/32963459","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"SJHan"},"datePublished":"2018-01-01T10:43:57.000Z","text":"They went around the outside of my house with a cable."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/32963614","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"kester76"},"datePublished":"2018-01-01T11:02:53.000Z","text":"Is your house a mid Terrace ? They will go through the roof if asked but I think you would have to pull the cable through your loft if it’s not suitably boarded."}],"commentCount":12,"interactionStatistic":3,"articleSection":"Ask"}
