How to get rid of this bar on stock Android 13?

4222914_1.jpg
Cubot Kingkong Tab, otherwise brilliant.

I've put Nova Launcher on it n set that to default home app, but this "Quickstep" launcher bar is very persistent, as in, it's ALWAYS there for any app, you can't disable it, n if you force stop it, it respawns like Terminator or Hydra.

I wouldn't mind if it were soft home/back/switch bar that disappears like what I'm used to, but this is like, "No, you're having this Google bar, and you better f ng get used to it!"

Thanks in advance!

A quick search offers various suggestions
.....that it will stay until you degoogle your phone.
.....that if you install another launcher then you can go into Apps and disable it.
....that it is needed for multitasking, whatever that is on a mobile.
But the general consensus is that it is a PITA

I never had anything like it on my Xiaomi when on 13, so perhaps there was a benefit to MIUI after all. (edited)

    Cheers but;

You can't "de-google" a stock Android (owned by Google) phone. Unless root etc.
    Tried (2) not work.
I think it "respawns" as a guard so user can always navigate, but why not have settings to hide it etc.
MIUI is basically Chinese Government "Chairman MIUI" baked in spyware.

This came up on my lenovo tablet with no way to remove it. Best I can suggest is to remove its impact, remove all the app shortcuts in it one by one and leave the navigation buttons. Installating a custom launcher didn't work. (edited)

Have you asked cubot or the seller. Is there any custom ROMs on XDA?

It’s too new (released in August) to have a custom ROM even then I doubt anyone out there is actively working on building a custom ROM for this!

OP should have gone for the Tab 40 which looks to not have this feature/issue.
