I got all my overalls on and my special painting slippers, I did all the prep, covered the room in sheets and laid out my 3 tester pots ready to paint the room. Well I'm sure you can guess I didn't get very far!

Painting slippers? Do I need some of these?

30ml is 6 teaspoons. These are not pots, but little plastic/foil packets. Ok for touch ups but the larger testers instore are better for getting a true idea of how the colour will look in different lights, etc. £1 for 3 is about right, imo, £1 each covers the postage but not much paint sample! :-)

Fantastic deal, I'm tempted to buy 6 myself, I have a very small section of wall I'd like to paint and for £2 it'd be rude not to do it with tester pots

Unfortunately they don't do it for the smooth masonry paint. I only need about 0.5 litres and I would have to buy x10 that, 5 litres, if I purchased Dulux. Have it sit around, taking up space, while it goes solid and never get to use it all up. Or spend £17 on 17 packs of tester.

The best part of it is they used to sell 250ml tins which would of been fine for what I need.

I suggest that anyone who wants to use this to paint anything empty it all into a larger container and give it a good stir to ensure that the colour is well mixed to avoid any patchiness.

Yes, but I CBA and put them in. I think any more than that and I would get myself in more of a muddle choosing, I've had enough trouble picking the colour of the kitchen units! oO I've just picked the colours I'd already short listed as it was a long drive to get the testers I needed so am happy.

You are very right that is 30ml is less than a normal tester pot, I had not noticed the difference, but like you say big enough to test etc... good enough for what I want, I have plenty of larger tester pots that ended up getting wasted more than half the pot.

I think you would have to just slowly dilute and mix, I have done it with magnolia before, it also depends on how much you need of the mixed paint cover your bathroom.
