    Great picture for the price.
Unbelievably good for a 720p set
I'd take one of these over a 1080p
    LED every time.

I've had a 42" Panasonic plasma for about 4 years, possibly this one.

    Superb quality, excellent picture.

This is an absolute bargain price for such a TV. Do not hesitate to buy!

Hi. Have been looking at this for a few days now and gone on many sites for best price etc. Cheapest I could find was the Co-Op @ £264 with code AFTV75 (15% off) BUT no extended guarantee. As the plasma is now out of production what happens if it goes wrong? Richer Sounds offer free delivery & a five year guarantee for £299. For piece of mind I thought this might be a better option as most places are offering extended guarantee at around £60. Comments would be appreciated please.

How is the picture on the 50" version? This deal is great but I really wanted the 50" over the 42" so may wait a bit longer in hope that they pop up again.

I saw a 51" 720p Samsung Plasma in Tesco yesterday and the picture was shockingly poor, I could see black lines in between the pixels and it was very dull and washed out, whites looked brown!

Can you spot the black lines in between pixels on your 50" Panasonic?

What do you mean "What happens if it goes wrong?" First, it won't! Second, you've got a guarantee!

As I said earlier, don't hang around with doubts. Quickly grab a quality TV at a silly price before they're all snapped up. You won't regret it.

Thanks for posting. This TV wasn't on display but asked and they had them out the back. Always worth checking with the staff. My first HD TV and very impressed with the quality of the picture!

got this in Belfast yesterday (Kennedy centre) they have 3 left. have to say it is fantastic value, picture looks great especially sky HD but SD content also good. natural picture, more cinematic I would say unlike some of the higher end TV's which definitely suffer from the 'soap opera' effect!

The only downside is slighty more glarey than my old LCD but not much. A bargain. Thanks OP :-)

Picked up one of these this week as a cheap front room TV while the kids are still small and 'fingerprinty' and its a great cheap tv. Dug out my old school Yamaha soundbar for films, but the inbuilt speakers are pretty much ok for everyday kids tv.

Lovefilm looks excellent on this set (PS3 app) and games do too. The main negative are the lack of inputs, there are just 2 HDMIs, one component, and one scart, but ive hooked up the Wii via component for a bit of a retro blast as well as the PS3 via HDMI so they do the job.

Can't comment on the Freeview as we've not had a tv licence for two years now- best decision ever!

How do you get by without a licence?
  20. deleted390652's avatar
Youtube, lovefilm, the free apps. You only need a licence to watch live tv, hence the 'you need a licence to watch this' on the iplayer app when you click on something live.

I get reminder letters even though ive told tv licensing that I dont watch live tv, but if they ever come round ill gladly let them in and show that theres not even a cable from the wall for an ariel. The letters say 'just a reminder if you've started to watch live tv'

Loads of info online, im saving ~£1000 a year by not having sky and the licence. Loads will say that you need a licence if you even have a tv with a tuner in it, but thats not true.

Hi. Just to clarify that by phoning the co-op first telephone number you will be joining the co-op and they will give you a membership number. Then phone the second number stating you are a new member and give them that membership number to qualify for your £20 new member discount.
