The two pictures are of hotels that are opposite ends of the resort. The top picture is The Calas De Mallorca Complex. The second picture is of Club Cala Romani.

Does anyone know what the kids clubs are like there?

Hopefully surrounded by electrified fences, attack dogs and armed guards to keep the little baskets from escaping.....

Stayed here about 8 years ago and it was like stepping back in time. Think the hotel hadn't been decorated since it was built in the 60's. Amazed it's still standing given the condition of some parts of it back then!

Half empty road with tens of peletons of cyclists, fantastic. Hate All inclusive as they are usually full of drunks and encourage to stay close to the hotel. Prefer to pay more and relax.Ridiculously low price, good deal for the more idle.Hot

That's the point I was making. It's a bit of a roll of the dice. We went end of April / May one year and it was warmer back in the UK!...and I kept seeing all the cyclists and wished I'd taken my bike!!

I used to work in this complex. Was previously Sol Mastines Chihuahuas and Sol Balmoral.

Can confirm that the photo of the pool area isn't from this hotel.

As someone said, this is a basic resort in a basic location, probably worth avoiding the all inclusive, the restaurants on the resort are....basic, but some are nice. We went there on a rainy day and were forced inside most of the time around the crazy golf course, it is like going back in time Was looking for urbexing sites whilst out there (Sept last year) and wasn't expecting to find one here..... on the outskirts of the resort:

There was one person living in a single apartment of what must have been an 80 room hotel, he had the penthouse suite (see 3rd picture above)

Stayed here about 25 and then 3 years ago, don't think it was called what it is now though wither time!

It was okay, it's a cheap large complex, rooms are basic. Food and drink bearable, not great but okay. Nice big pools, sun loungers get grabbed early doors but this time a year shouldn't be a problem.

Local resort is tired as every hotel is all inc.

Would I go back no way, but I was pleasantly surprised, you make what you do out of it I suppose.
  24. johnraggett's avatar
In fact it was called Club Calla Romani last time I went and I think the Agumar 25 years ago but that's a guess!!

Good deal, but weather can be hit and miss in May. We went to Majorca in March one year and it was lovely, and the following year we went at beginning of June and it wasn't anywhere near as nice...

Right I should have clicked the link first, it's not the hotel I've just talked about, although the pools pictured above is from the hotel I described and not the one you'd be booking.

yes and also the Sol Balmoral. The whole complex is now merged into one.
The Chihuahas is the best of the 3, it has amazing views out to sea. When i last went about 8 years ago, only the balmoral offered all inclusive - now the whole complex has it.
in May there will probably only be one of the three hotels open.

I stayed here back in the 80's as a Teenager. Had a high diving board and flume back then as well, which i see are missing these days!

The facilities were tired back then

Stayed at other hotels in Calas de Mallorca several times as a toddler and child. Nice little resort. Not too much to do other than a few small markets and some restaurants but a nice little beach cove and some places to walk. I think I remember the Balmoral was next door to us so the hotel has been around for at least 15 years.
