UNSTOPPABLY IMMERSIVE
Quantum Dot Display Technology enables a slim panel design and delivers a superior colour performance with a higher peak luminance and greater colour gamut range vs WOLED (White OLED). The monitor features an extensive cinema-grade colour coverage of DCI-P3 99.3% across a wide viewing angle, and colours are accurate out of the box with a factory calibration of Delta E less than 2.

Expect incredibly realistic visuals for gameplay that draws you in deeper thanks to 1000 nits peak brightness, infinite contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification.

LAG-FREE GAMEPLAY
AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro Technology and VESA® AdaptiveSync Display certification lets you experience ultra-low latency gameplay for tear-free gaming every time, and offers support for HDR-capable games.

Expect smooth gameplay and view fast-moving graphics with incredible clarity for quicker in-game reactions thanks to an industry-fastest 0.1 ms GtG (Gray to Gray) response time and up to 165 Hz (native) high refresh rate.

INNOVATIVE, ICONIC DESIGN
The unique Legend 2.0 Premium design is the perfect blend of stunning form and enhanced functionality. In addition to its sleek QD-OLED curved 1800R panel, the AW3423DWF monitor features improved cable management, 360° ventilation for better heat dissipation and a new centralised On-Screen Display (OSD) joystick to make adjusting your settings easier. Customizable AlienFX lighting on the logo and screen size number on the back of the monitor enhances gaming ambiance.

FOR CRITICAL CREATING
For content creators and game developers who require precise colour-critical work, the new Creator Mode feature was designed for you. This OSD menu option allows you the flexibility to choose between the native (DCI-P3) and the sRGB colour space, depending on your work needs, and the ability to adjust the gamma settings.

The Picture-In-Picture (PIP) and Picture-By-Picture (PBP) feature lets you view two PC sources simultaneously for next-level multi-tasking.

QUALITY + COMFORT
The Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor is engineered to avoid burn-in caused by items appearing onscreen for long periods of time. Additionally, you'll receive a 3-year service coverage for further quality assurance. And with ComfortView Plus, you can game longer, thanks to an always on, built-in low-blue light screen technology that reduces blue light emissions without impacting colour accuracy.

OPTIMISE YOUR GAMEPLAY
A revamped OSD layout with centralised joystick allows for easy navigation of the monitor’s settings and features.
Among these features is the all-new AlienVision—four custom hardware-based overlays designed to enhance your visual experience in real-time based on actual gameplay.

Night Vision
Helps increase visibility by improving both clarity and contrast during dark scenes in games.

Clear Vision
Enhances sharpness and clarity by removing obstructive elements like smoke, haze or mist.

Chroma Vision
Applies a heatmap to your game based on a thermal palette.

Crosshair
Displays a crosshair that assists the in-game aiming by being "always visible", making it easier to hit your target every time.

Owned one now for just over 1 year and used it for work (Programming) and film watching and the occasional bit of gaming, i have been pleased with it. I have used it with a moving wallpaper, hidden taskbar, icons and it seems to be doing fine with burn-in. It does get a bit annoying sometimes with the 4hr nag to 'refresh pixels' but its something i can live with for the excellent black levels. Watching a movie from Netflix in 21:9 ratio looks amazing on it.
    ZeroTheGhostDog's avatar
You can turn off the auto warning message in the monitor settings regarding the 4 hour nag, the monitor will still auto refresh when it goes into standby after 4 hours have passed

Had this for just about a year now and have had 1 replacement due to a dead pixel right in the middle of my viewing area, the 4 hour nag to refresh pixels is very annoying as it pops up in the middle of gaming! I don't want to turn it off though! I mainly use it for gaming (fps) and coding and it's been brilliant minus the issues / quarms above definitely worth it ever at the higher price I bought it at! It's amazing for response times and the colours are beautiful (although I turned off hdr now for better response in games) (edited)
    Alex_H's avatar
You can turn off the reminder and set it to do it's thing when the monitor goes into standby instead. I've done that with mine and I've not heard it as about the pixel refresh since.

    Is it good for Ps5?
    SecretOfMonkeyIsland's avatar
I can answer this (I use mine with the PS5). It works fine with the PS5 ..... BUT! it has some negatives, those being:

    - No ultrawide resolution support (On PS5's end). So you will watching in 16:9 with black bars on the side of the display and not all the monitor horizontal real estate used up.
    - Only supports 1440p so you wont be gaming in 4K
    - You will need to use the monitors 3.5mm (headphone out) port to get audio to your speakers

However you will get the perk of HDR, VRR and OLED for amazing picture quality (edited)

I paid £710 last July for this and that was on a deal. It's been great.
  6. Sof_m's avatar
Does anyone recommend this for working, generally using VSC and multiple tabs daily
    Alex_H's avatar
Yes it will do all those things but you're not taking any advantage of the refresh rate or oled tech tbh. You'll probably be served just as well with an IPS or VA ultrawide screen, plus will be cheaper.
  7. martinlomax7's avatar
Its a great great monitor, i've had it for a couple of years now, but boy do i regret buying it, Its too large for gaming for the majority, and super demanding in most titles! This you need a system that can run more demanding titles in more than 1440p

    I want bigger next 😁

My son loves this monitor for gaming, this is a great price, you won’t regret it; wouldn’t use for office work mind you.
    Minstadave's avatar
It's no bother for office work either, amazing colour space coverage, text clarity can be sorted with BetterClearType or similar.
  9. Michael_JonesVFm's avatar
Paid about £640 last year, would happily pay that again. More than happy with it. Only game on it, if you are doing work or a lot of text based work you may find the sub pixel a little off putting if you’re sensitive to it, but I can’t tell the difference.
    Darkwaxer's avatar
What sort of games are you playing and make the most of this?
  10. Adam_Mayhead's avatar
Personally I would avoid this as a main monitor. I almost bought it, and as lovely as they are, you have to change your way of using a computer. It's just too much. Hiding task bar, moving wallpapers etc. All so you can have this screen. And one mistake and bam bam, you've damaged it
    ZeroTheGhostDog's avatar
You don’t have to do any of this, it just helps avoid burn-in.

These monitors automatically move pixels one line over, after a small amount of time, to avoid burn-in too (you don’t notice it move)

The monitor also automatically refreshes pixels after 4 hours of use when it goes into standby next.

Burn-in hysteria is huge… you have to purposefully be doing something silly on it for a long time to have any hope of causing permanent damage.

I’ve had the monitor for just over 10 months now, 0 issues. (edited)

1440p for 600 dell is a joke . 600 - easy 4k minimum and same size and same hz maybe 144 . So what is dell gonna come out with this being special

Aren't the new panels coming out this year?
    jaju123's avatar
There are 240hz 4k panels now that are more expensive, I think that's the main release for this year
  13. jellytotz's avatar
Shame no DP ALT with 65w power delivery on this
    FlatulentFox's avatar
Might want to look at the Philips Evnia 34". Uses the same panel but comes with some nice extra features ( KVM switch, PD, 175hz refresh with display port over USB-C) for £649. The stand and edge colors are a mixed bag, but it's hard to tell when you're using it.

Worth an upgrade over - my personal favourite HUKD deal ever - the Mateview GT 34?

The clarity of the OLED in motion, especially where blacks are concerned, is so much better since it can deliver virtually instantaneous transitions compared to the VA panel. Also, true blacks and good peak brightness (in a small window) make for a much better HDR experience. Worth it? Depends on whether it makes a difference to your experience, I suppose.

Tried it and it's pending at £49.46 from a £484.89 purchase which seems very random. Can't see any chance that I end up getting anything though.

Absolutely incredible for games, but a bit hard on the eye for office work. Not flicker free as advertised, bear that in mind
    Joe_O4p's avatar
On my Alienware (32" 4k), I resolved flicker, which it had initially, by upgrading drivers and updating the monitor firmware itself (edited)
  18. SavvySue's avatar
Can I have this minus the 1000 nits 😞
    ZeroTheGhostDog's avatar
You can put it into DisplayHDR True Back , which reduces the nits to 400 but still looks great.
  19. Darkwaxer's avatar
Does anyone know what you should use to wipe the screen with, I have a small forehead smudge on mine and not sure what I should use to remove it.
    Vaguermist's avatar
I had the same issue with my AW3423DWF. The one that worked the best for me is called "Mistify screen cleaner" on Amazon. Remember to apply the solution only on the cloth when wiping and not directly on the screen.

It also fixed some weird blue tinted smudges which would not disappear with regular water. (edited)

Don't be fooled by the scam 1,000nits claim. If it's 1,000nits why can it only manage a DisplayHDR 400(nits) rating instead of 800 or even 500?

Check reviews of it from sites that measure brightness and see how bright they claim it is. Last I remember it's around 450-490 when viewing standard HDR stuff, which is still pretty good and cery bright. I don't know why they felt the need to say 1,000 when its only in very rare use cases

I have a 144 hz QD OLED TV

my constant feeling is that OLED technology is severely gimped by such low frame rates. the technology would be good for 1000 hz hypothetically

the benefit doesn't just come from playing CS go at 500 hz
the benefit comes from general scrolling since it is "perfect" motion

on that basis i would say 240 hz is the bare minimum a PC monitor should be, (ideally 360 hz)

Great price. I have the gsync version, I got it around the time it launched about two years ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. Everything looks amazing on it. I use it for both work from home and gaming, so that means at least 8hours most days, usually way more. I've not experienced any bad burn in so far. Though if I get coloured slides up I can notice some very light pixel wear, the kind of pixel wear that you just wouldn't experience in normal content.

Another 1440p monitor :/ What are we doing in 2024? 34 inch and it's got the PPI of a 55 inch TV when you're meant to be sitting right infront of it.
    Rick_G's avatar
Should try one before knocking... not noticeable at all. It's by far the best monitor I've ever used in 28 years of PC gaming. The main downside, for me, is the text fringing due to the pixel layout. I wfh and it's not especially annoying me though. You get used to it.
