About this item
  • Safe and effective snow foam car shampoo for home pressure washers. Polar Wash creates a thick, high-cling, blanket of car foam shampoo
  • Specially formulated surfactants easily encapsulate and remove dirt, traffic film and road grime that could otherwise be moved around the car
  • Designed for application through a pressure washer with a foam gun. Safe to use on wheels, tyres, paint & trim. It will not remove previously applied waxes or sealants
  • Ideal for use after pre-washing with a snow foam such as Autoglym Polar Blast, but it can be used independently. We recommend following up with Autoglym Polar Seal, our durable hydrophobic coating
  • Polar Wash can perform a touchless clean on very lightly soiled vehicles. However, for stubborn dirt and traffic film we advise agitation with a wash mitt or sponge

Watched a youtube comparison between this and bilt hamber and this performed poorly. Bilt Hamber auto-foam was a lot better. Most snow foams are gimmicks imo, hardly do anything. The Bilt hamber autofoam and touch-less stand out performance wise. Touch-less performs better than auto-foam.

Totally agree with the comment that snow foam is gimmicky. Never found it to do much or I have been using the wrong brand! I find the wash mitt is always needed with a two bucket method.

Bilt hamber has never let me down, amazing stuff and backed up with loads of good reviews .

This or the bilt hamber at £25 for 5 litres?

    Bilt Hamber every time.

Great fun to use, but I find it annoying how much of a clean-up I need to do on the driveway after washing the car with this stuff!

Not sure it saves that much time versus more conventional washing, but certainly looks cool and all the neighbours find it interesting.

How does it need a cleanup on the driveway? Just leave the foam no?

I think the Autoglym Polar series is brilliant. I bought the small 3 pack (Blast, Wash and Seal) and was genuinely surprised at how well it works. The Polar Seal in particular is awesome. The Polar Wash is used at a higher dilution level than the others, so it has run out before the others. This is a great price for a 2.5L bottle, which i will decant into the existing smaller bottle for ease. Thanks!

its ok but wouldn't be nearly as good as BH touchless -- nothin is imo and I've been cleanin cars professionally and at home for 30 years -- Geon is also superb

    Hi
Have used this Autoglym product and not impressed .
Goes on too thick and doesn’t clean car panels too good and way too much mess when powerwashing off.
Tends to clog up certain snow foam bottle nozzles

Stick with Bilt Hamber Touchless or BH Autofoam.
BH are far superior product to thie Autoglym Polar Wash in my opinion.
If i had to choose one BH product to clean my car
I would edge towards the Touchless as it is a sugar based cleaning product although  more expensive than the BH Autofoam if price was an issue then go with BH Autofoam

Just be sure to mix BH products at correct product/water ratio
    Just my opinion

    Others will disagree 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Off topic: if any shampoo has neutral PH will it affect wax?

Or what shampoo to use to not remove wax?
    shabbauk's avatar
I believe anything PH neutral should be safe. Probably best to keep topping the wax up after washes though via a quick detailer spray, or adding another proper wax layer every so often. Depends what wax I imagine, how good it is and how well the car was decontainated before it was done.

I have Infiity Wax shampoo and quick detailer (*add in when drying) (edited)

Anyone recommend a tried and tested snow foam sprayer. I have a Bosch spray gun.

MJJC is always highly rated in pretty much every review. Have v2 and it’s great. There is a v3 out now.

This is not a bad shampoo but you have to do it 50:50 with water even a jug like this goes quickly. (edited)
