I bought 3 after the last time I saw them on here, one for parents and one each for me and the missus.

Not voting but I will say don't bother. The sound quality is so poor you end up giving up with it altogether and pull up somewhere so you can finish talking on the phone normally.

One of mine is sitting in my car hoping it doesn't attract thieves and the other is in its box. In fact if anyone wants it they can buy it off me for £1 plus delivery (or collect for free if in the Folkestone area)

Voted real cold. Give this one a miss folks. I bought two when they first started selling them. The echo and gain are awful. You need to have the mic taped to the side of your face to get any decent conversation. Otherwise the noise of the car drowns out your voice completely!

I have a visor fitting bluetooth gadget, it cost a lot more than this, is closer to you ear and even it isn't very good once you get up to Motorway speeds, and makes me wish I had saved my pennies and got a Bluetooth car radio, such as the Medion one on offer at Aldi currrently!

Ordered 5 as gifts last time

First 5 used by friends and all report a quality product & good perfornance

    Ordered 6 this time

If the Duplex kills the conversation just off of road noise alone (Car radio turned off or very low)
Then you have a very noisey car;

    Heat added::thumbsup:

But then again, for a fiver what do you expect.

Would like to share this.. had bought one of this couple of months back from play. I want to admit this was worst gadget i had bought... its very awkwardly designed and its very irritating while driving. Wouldnt recommend to buy. Looks worth the price but it would waste of a fiva

i got one of these a few months ago. It does work ok (just) and is worth the £5 cost.

I have now changed my car, and as the cigarette lighter is vertical on the dashboard, this unit wont stay in place. it just falls out the socket. its now in the back of a drawer. xxxxx

I got one to. What did I expect for a fiver - well something that worked. People refused to talk to me when I was using this device as there was too much background noise. Yea it's just a fiver but not really any good for driving - therefore was a waste of a fiver.

    RUBBISH

    RUBBISH

    RUBBISH!!!!

Bought this very item last week but gave up with it after a few hours, made around 10 calls with it and had to shout at the top of my voice plus keep repeating myself to people as they just cant hear you very well!!!

Complete waste of a fiver , avoid like the plague!

I never realised it wasnt anything other that £4.99. I bought one while back. For the user sound is perfect, you can hear the other side perfectly. However, the person you rang, they all struggled to hear you.

Its used as a emergency item now when my bluetooth headset battery dies.

It's been said, but obviously not enough as people are still voting this hot.

It is truly awful. Speaker in the car is passable, but at the other end you just can't be heard. The bendiness of it is a joke too, which means that if your socket is close to the gears, it may be quite difficult to position.

    Seriously don't bother.
