I've just gone to order a BT Mobile SIM only deal for my dad who doesn't need data and until Monday evening (21st November 2016), BT are offering their starter SIM at £5 per month which includes Unlimited calls and Unlimited texts and 500mb of data. The best bit is that going through Quidco, they're offering £49.50 cashback on all Sim Only deals plus the £30 Amazon Gift card BT are giving away.

In effect you will make a profit of £19.50 as worked out below:

Quidco cashback £49.50

+

Amazon Gift card £30

-

BT Mobile Sim annual cost £60

= £19.50 profit

This deal will not suit everyone so please hold the 'It is only 500mb of data' comments. This deal is ideal for my elderly father who does not use a smartphone and may help someone else. Good luck.

It's 4G

The question is...... will there be a better deal around Christmas ?
This or similar seems to be available every few weeks, so can any of you remember if there was an amazingly better deal last festive season ?
I only want BT for it's free use of the wifi/fon network, so the cheaper the better in that respect - I've got O2 mobile now and use tethering when stuck, but the easiest thing is for unlimited wifi when not at home (for my purposes, as not everyone has the same requirements).

You're getting this for £19.50 profit, what more do you expect as a better offer?! oO

Good deal if you are with BT otherwise it is £10 a month.

The title heading should mention that you have to be an existing BT Broadband customer, not a BT customer.

Can anyone confirm if you buy this 3 times do you get 3 x quidco / vouchers ?
#16
Will this work if you already have one BT mobile sim. I picked up a similar deal last year but my contract is nearly up on infinity etc.
#17
I got the one 2 weeks ago similar deal but with £70 quidco, the cashback has tracked at £20:(
#18
If I did this for 4 separate Sims, would I get the cash back and vouchers? As someone on quidco are saying But not recognising Quidco?
#19
Thanks, OP. Ordered one for my Uncle.

Perfect, ordered one as well. Thank you

Current trend. Get paid to use a service or product, inevitably followed up 'shall I hang on for a better deal'.

So how do you not get the Amazon voucher in order to get Quidco? Exactly.
#23
Did your sale track? Mine still has not tracked by BT.

Great deal!

I have recently taken this out. All gone smoothly so far. Although my Quidco account is showing £30 tracked. You also need to apply for the Amazon voucher - it doesn't do it automatically and I think I can take a while. Regards being a BT customer, you can do it if you just know a BT customer- it can be in your name but put their address when signing up then get them to send the SIM card to you when it arrives.

Do BT up the price if you ditch their BB half way through the deal? I'm with them now, but intend leaving at the end of Jan when the 12 month offer is over?
#27
It's only a fiver for BT phone and broadband customers though so not a great deal for everyone else and BT broadband customers are likely paying over the odds for their line rental and broadband anyway. Could be okay for someone trying to improve their credit rating whilst not spending much but otherwise it's not going to be suitable for many people as have to be on BT and not interested in data use. £10 monthly actual price and most likely the cash back will require chargeable calls to be made each month.

Your BT discount will end at the same time you cancel your BT contract so yes it will go to £10 if your leave BT.

Im 36y old and 500mb is plenty for me ;) As a bt broadband customer ive got access to free bt wifi network - no need for hyper super 30gb a month mobile data option.

How much data are you expecting for £5 a month on top of the unlimited calls this offer includes?

Knowing my luck I won't get the quidco or something, so I am looking only at the basic price without cashback.

If you didn't get the cashback, it would still only cost you £30 (after £30 Amazon card value deducted), which is only £2.50 per month .. not sure I've ever seen another deal that gets close to that, couple that with quidco, seems a no brainer...

Valid points you raise there?, and good tips too!, hehehe.

Yes you may be paying over the odd's, but if you can get someone else to help you out too, then ..... lool.

Thanx for that, and thanx OP too. :-)
