27inch for £174 if you change the 32 on the discount code to 27

Fantastic deal - this is the monitor I have and it's brilliant for console gaming

Great deal, I have this monitor and I think it's perfect for my usage. (edited)

I have this monitor and it's great for the money, on the very limit of how big I'd go at 1440p though.
    PsychoSonny's avatar
The limit for a normal desktop setup in terms of size as I have a 32" Samsung odyssey G7 240hz.

However you can definitely go bigger at 1440p as people have used 1080p TVs for gaming on for decades now. I know I had at least a 50 inch 1080p that I gamed on.

Almost pulled the trigger on an LG UltraGear 32GP850-B, but this is very tempting now. Not sure I would get on with curved though.

I have used curved monitors, probably larger than this and you don't notice the curvature sitting in front of them (that's the purpose of the design).

This seems to have increased in price versus all the Autumn deals last year

It's clear that VA has worse pixel response time and viewing angles compared to IPS panels, however if you are sitting directly facing the monitor then any colour shift would be minimal if it is curved or not. I prefer IPS personally but would not be disappointed with a fast VA panel if my primary goal was gaming. Most of these monitors have some type of overdrive settings that minimises the "VA smear."

my son purchased this and it arrived today, its a fantastic monitor for the price, you wont get better bang for your buck for a 32inch monitor, not at this price

    I don't recommend getting 1440p bigger than 27"

32 is pretty good for games at 1440p, desktop wont be great but definitely usable.

I have two s3220dgf and they have been great, 1440p 165hz VA panels. I know a 49" 4k oled with a 4090 looks way better, but it also costs way more than I have budget for and I have a 3070 ti and playing 1440p looks great to me. I dont play games using both screens, have browsers/music/whatever on righty and play on lefty.

I'm rocking the same 3220dgf with my 3060ti and it's been great. Most recently ran a set of pebble plus speakers from the audio out so consoles and the pc have decent sound through hdmi. Very nice.

This is the model that replaced it but it doesn't have same USB connectivity unfortunately. The ultra wide version does though.

Saw this deal the other day and thought it was great, just a shame curved as I don’t like them
    Funnycatmeme's avatar
Its curved because its a VA panel and if it wasn't curved then the edges would be washed out the closer you sit. You get better contrast on VA panels but the viewing angles are much narrower and the pixel response time is slower. Still good though, I've been using mine for 4 years and just bought another year of warranty extension from dell for £20.

I've got the Dell S2721DGFA and honestly changed the way I gamed lol.

That is only 27inch whereas this is obviously bigger. I've been contemplating getting a curved monitor recently, however just wondering if people this this is a significant upgrade to mine and warrants a purchase?

I've also got some Dell vouchers that need to be used so thinking why not lol.
    Funnycatmeme's avatar
This is a VA panel where yours is an ips. Yours also has all the usb ports where this one doesn't have the same connectivity. The main reason this one is curved is because the edges would look washed out because of the poor viewing angles of VA panels if it wasn't. I like mine which is the same size and resolution as this panel, but I quite like the look of the ultra wide version. Different money though. but it does have all the usb connections.

Is there anything with higher nits within £100 of this? That's the only downside I can see
    Funnycatmeme's avatar
It's not got full array local dimming and you sit pretty close to it. I have mine (3220dgf) brightness turned down because it's pretty bright when you are less than 1m away. And when I play helldivers with HDR on and its a sandstorm and the sun is shining in my face, I am quite glad it isn't any brighter
  19. Seeya's avatar
I find mine dull, and horrible at night as backlight bleed is really noticeable. Unfortunately just my experience paid under £180 so I kept it, but wished I had returned it
    jamesturner280783's avatar
Non on mine. Could be a bad one.

Great monitor, only problem iv had is the poor mains connection to the back of the monitor. I switch from sitting to standing as iv got a bad back and tilting the screen seems to disconnect the mains somehow. I have to give it a wiggle everytime to get the thing back on again. Hoping it doesn't get any worse. (edited)

Weirdly that's the same on my dell, from what I gather dell are worse nowadays then the likes of hp

I’ve recently got a new gaming laptop (Lenovo loq), and I’m a bit out of touch with monitors these days! I’m guessing by the heat this is worth getting? I wanted something bigger than a 27 which I could use for gaming and work, my TV is an LG oled C2 so I’m used to having a good picture. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Does this handle HDR well? I game and watch petabyes of garbage media.
    TheCostOfLies's avatar
No low/mid budget monitor is going to have good HDR. You'll need something with HDR600 or above to get that, which you're looking at £500 for I suspect. Something like this:

Will this be too big for a Lenovo legion 5 laptop (4070 graphics card) to run games at full screen and decent resolution?
  24. Tiberiusric's avatar
    350 nits tho😔
    TheCostOfLies's avatar
It's perfectly fine unless you're gaming with a south-facing window right behind you

Just about to purchase this, but the code is coming up as expired. The deal notes that it’s set to expire on Sunday.

Is there a new code to use? :/
