100% recommend
I sent back the AW2723DF (it has hardware issues with GSync) for a £480 refund and bought one of these for £180 in the last offer. The only thing I miss is 280hz smoothness, but I've now adjusted back down to 165hz. 120/144hz look weirdly choppy to me now though, no getting used to those.
Motion clarity is also better than the Alienware, and it's just a much better panel in general.
I will say though, especially after coming from the AW that had no front logo and tiny bezels, that the Dell looks good awful in person. Some psychopath in Dell's design dept still thinks it's a good idea to put highly reflective DELL logos on the front of the monitor. If a ceiling light or god forbid the sun ever catch that logo, you'll be blinded by rainbows. I'd highly recommend covering up that abomination with some kind of vinyl sticker or even electrical tape.

"The LG 27GR75Q-B and the Dell G2724D are both 27-inch budget gaming monitors. However, the Dell is the better choice for most people. The Dell gets far brighter in HDR and SDR and is better at overcoming glare. The Dell also has better motion handling, so fast-moving objects look more crisp. Finally, the Dell supports VRR with the PS5, and the LG doesn't."
Also as a sidenote if you dig deeper and check the reviews they have updated the scores on the Dell for a new testing methodology geared towards comparing against all monitors including OLED and Mini-LED, so appears to have a lower rating than the LG (which is scored using the older methodology). I was between the 2 monitors and was waiting for Rtings to review the LG and they did and scored the LG lower (when they were both tested using the same methodology). For this price, buy the Dell, its a no brainer and you really won't be disappointed.
