You do know how UK law works yeah?Game adding the product to the website is a invitation to purchase, by going through checkout etc is you offering to buy at said price and then finally, dispatch is them accepting your offer. So, as it has been dispatched via email this is completion of a contract between you and Game

    If you made an order and didnt get a cancellation email but you havent received a code you need to go to mydownloads.game.co.uk and they will email you the codes

    Incorrect.


    Pretty sure once an order is confirmed and despatched that's the contract fulfilled. Happy to be shown games t&c's which say otherwise.

    I work for game. This code is a bundle deal code which will always scan through as 1p. In the shops we can not sell it out on its own, the tills won't let us. But if it's going through on the website I would grab it before the realise.

    Love this site, but people exploiting glitches is the same as stealing. If any of you actually ran a company and people took advantage of it you would not like it.

    Can the codes be cancelled / blocked once emailed?



    I *think* i've heard of codes being voided before, if you add it to your Xbox account you'll probably maximise your chances of keeping it.

    Game are then in breach of their own t&c's. You not get a code, gonna cry off to game and MS?

    They wont revoke anything and if they revoke my liscence well it was included with the console at launch, good luck on that!

    Lol. GAME deserve everything they lose. Good deal for all those that got the deal. Don't let it rest if they try remove the license later. MS have had their money for the codes, it was GAME that screwed up.

    This isn't illegal, it's simply a mistake by GAME (a costly one). One the money is out of your account, GAME have entered a contract and can't revoke it without your agreement.

    This is the EU law for electronic on-line purchases as I had this kind of problem with a certain deal a few years back with a catalog company (forget their name) and an XBOX 360 deal with kinect and 2 games with a price error. I got it all at the price I wanted (and a bit more) after writing a formal complaint to the financial ombudsman that reached them.

    This is why, when Amazon have a price glitch, they cancel the order as they don't take out the money straight away.

    Just be aware this is a grey area. A lot of people interpret the law as … Just be aware this is a grey area. A lot of people interpret the law as the contract being formed when the money is taken, but most online retailers (particularly those that take the money at point of order and not at dispatch) have clauses in their terms and conditions that state the contract is not formed until the item has dispatched. Whether having that as a term & condition is legally binding is a matter of dispute and one which you will have to argue against. Game are not known for their generosity in these matters and this is a significant and obvious price error making goodwill less likely.



    In law there is no dispute when the contract is formed. Offer, acceptance, intention to create legal relations and CONSIDERATION (payment).

    Any LL.B yr 1 student who is reading his books will tell you this

    Game can place what the hell they like in their t+cs but the law is on the buyer's side if the above is met.

    I'm not particularly interested as I don't have a direct involvement. Just chucking a bit of legal advice your way.
