My 2p but you're either buying this to add to a collection, in which case you'd want a mint condition/boxed version

Or you really want to play some gameboy games....but a potato can run all gameboy games

This, but splurge a bit more and get a brand like Anbernic RG35xx or better 353V / 353VS. Makes a difference (edited)

I really wish Nintendo would get out of the hardware game, their consoles are always super disappointing. I don't think I've ever liked any of their hardware, even the Switch was using a two year old SoC in 2017 and it was underclocked. I really hope the Switch 2 is high end and isn't some underpowered thing, because we're beyond the times where that is acceptable, especially now with how powerful mobiles are and the rise of the portable PCs. Like no Nintendo I do not want to play games that look like they should be on the PS2 at 720p struggling to get to 30FPS.

I’m guessing that Nintendo , having had massive success with so called “underpowered “ consoles and , being as they are the richest game company in the world with the most successful console of this generation will likely carry on as they have been doing thank you very much

I love these old Nintendo consoles, but whenever I pick one up, I can't get over how bad the backlighting is. Unless you play directly under a lightbulb, you can't see it!

I used to play with the plug in LED back in the day...

Classic but the ghosting on these was always frustrating. I always preferred this form factor though, slightly larger screen than the GBC and with AAA batteries more portable too.
