They dont test any of their consoles at all, and most are the remnants of some chav who needed the money for some weed. I've had nothing but trouble with their pre owned consoles in the past, and in the present, a couple of my mates are on their 5th and 6th returns respectively within a 5 month period. Various problems from overheating, to hdd failures, to disc drive errors.
On top of this, you have to remember, once they go out of business in a few months time (the very reason for this sale), should anything go wrong, and trust me it will, you will be left with a lovely expensive plastic brick.
You'd have to be an idiot you say....yet you then admit to buying pre owned consoles (plural!) from them in the past!
I'll be purchasing with my credit card anyways.
Normally yes, they'll have a 12 month warranty on, but if the Game Group go, then so will your warranty. If you're thinking of the credit card as being the warranty if Game Group go, then first check that secondhand items are covered.
clearing out brand new stock, as 'preowned' because they dont have to pay the maunfacturers, or some loophole like that and they have no funds to buy new games so essentially, use any credit you have with them or gamestation ASAP.
I like the way you post your own speculation like it's a fact.
I like the way you can't see the obvious.
So you believe they'll be "clearing out brand new stock, as 'preowned' because they dont have to pay the maunfacturers, or some loophole like that" because that sounds like crap to me

They have to test them infront of you before you buy and you get to check the console condition also before you buy, you are entitled to see it working, its their job to do so.

Yes but the warranty is null if they close down. The warranty is with them - not the manufacturer obviously.
Your credit card company won't honour a warranty if the retailer has closed shop.

Oh sorry, no I mean it's clearly obvious they are closing down and your comment made it sound like they wouldn't be and it was an assumption. Got wrong end of the stick. I firmly believe the dude you quoted is talking out of his bottom in terms of the "loophole" bs at least.
Funny you should say that because loads of the new stock has been reduced to the same price as what the preowned has been dropped to so i think a lot of new stock has been moved to preowned.
To be honest. Nothing.
Pretty average prices from top to bottom. Anything with a decent price you'll find they have no stock in most stores.
This gens reliability is dire both 360 & PS3 have issues. Spend a little more & get peace of mind.
Not sure which will last longer pre-owned warranties or GAME ?
However, they can't just give it away.

£30 for a PSP base model is OK - they're pretty robust and its cheap enough to mess with and whack custom firmware on there. May pick up a couple for the kids - will be invaluable for long car journeys.
GAME has for too long ripped off parents who know no better than to think £40 is correct and only price for a game, and second hanf price of £36.99 is fair. I will be sad for the good people who are at risk of unemplyment but will not be sad to see GAME absent from high streets.
Back on topic - second hand consoles are risky, personaly dont think the savings here are good enough to take the chance,
