If you speak to their customer service they offer a 6 month trial on any package completely free of charge. I've just signed up for this and their network should be up and running around August in my area.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I've signed up for the 200mbps trial. The actual speed on offer is 260mbps maximum and 140mbps minimum meaning the average should be bang on the money. (edited)

I did this. 6 month trial on their top package and then when the trial was coming to an end, changed it to a cheaper one.

    I'd recommend them.

I thought I would be eligible for this since I've had Gigaclear mailers through my door & recently fibre to the door has been installed in my area & my property but it appears not available

Seems very hit and miss, same in my postcode.
Plenty of mail shots from different providers but seemingly still no availability.

Gigaclear is a tie in as unlike Openreach you have no alternative ISP's once they have laid their fibre...really annoying and means that they have you 'over the proverbial barrel'....

Not sure I understand - are you trying to say that you can't get an openreach line once gigaclear have installed? I dont believe thats right...

I think the fact is that gigaclear won't permit openreach/other providers on their fibre. If you're out of contract with gigaclear and you have an openreach alternative (FTTP/C or ADSL) you can chose any other provider - you'll just need to get openreach to string a new fibre for FTTP.

I'd guess what you're saying is that if gigaclear is your only option - but that wont last for too many more years as openreach are committed to presenting fibre over the whole country (I'm sure some rural exceptions). I'm prepared to bet if gigaclear is an option, Openreach will be too now or in the near future (2026).
