Went LG myself, but noticed this yesterday. Think the lowest I've seen it was £199. Sub £180 for a 32 inch freeview seems a hell of a bargain
UPDATE- just seen you can knock a few more quid off via quidco- if your reserving for in store literally £1, or 1.5% cashback

sorted byI can't help myself... You're telling me you can distinguish 720 from 1080 on a 32" LCD TV at a normal viewing distance? B*ll@cks!
There are NO 1080p transmissions in the UK, the vast majority of people have no need for 'FULL' HD, don't let these 'must buy Full HD' critics put you off.
I wouldn't rush to buy this Hitachi branded Vestel as I'd prefer Freeview HD for a start (if I were in the market for a TV). As my 10 year old Hitachi 42pd5200 plasma has a great picture and refuses to die I guess I'll wait until I'm happy to have 'lost' the £2400 I paid for it!

Are you expecting Full HD, 3D, 20 pairs of glasses 47" screen, Samsung smart tv for £179.99?
At this day and age, I'd expect a 1080p tv instead of HD Ready, this is 720p judging by the native resolution. DEM GRAINY PIXELS YO.

Well, first of all the TV is £20 more expensive, despite having passive 3D technology.
And LOL @ £39.99 postage.
Found that out with there Baby wipes at 50p each pack and 5.50 Delivery charge arghhhhh
That said, for a spare room this would be ideal.

Gaming, PC, Bluray even Youtube videos can be 1080p. And who's to say it will be 4 years? Why buy a TV that can't produce 1080p when its a widely used resolution? Unless you just want it for things that only broadcast in 720p for the next couple of years, then I wouldn't bother.
I still think its an OK deal. But to me it seems like false economy. Each to their own.

At this diagonal you would hardly spot the difference. I'd believed you if you'd said that black wasn't black enough.
No, UK HD transmissions are 1080i as a general rule with Freeview HD having 1080p capability.... blu ray discs offer full HD 1080p, which is a good enough reason for many.... plus most of the decent TV's made will naturally be Full HD.... so the best image processing is used on the higher spec screens.

My Virgin Tivo is better at 720p than 1080i
Don't get why people want a bigger TV than 32" unless they are in a house with 4 reception rooms. (Dedicate a room to it).
I couldn't live without a room completely free of electronic devices.
It's not! OH has just bought this -and it's only got one HDMI
