Nope got rid of mine on ebay for £9, only spent £17 on the Easter Set Exclusive for this year and The Flash Micro set, so very happy that two sets cost me circa £9
I'd been been having that problem since mid-afternoon but I managed to place an order just over 10 minutes ago.

With this promotion it's £10 for every hundred. Planning to buy the UCS Slave 1, can't get it elsewhere for less and it's £15 back in points. No brainer.
It's probably the best UCS Star Wars set. Comes with 3 minifigures and Han Solo in Carbonite
Try emailing Lego Customer Services and asking them to add the points rather then you have to return the set. It has worked for at least two people that I know of who bought recently.
How much do you think it will drop to on May 4th?
A friend of mine has the GB HQ and whilst he's enjoying the build he's not convinced about how exciting a set it's going to be when done.
It looks OK when I've seen it in-store, but with the sides closed it's just a big brown box....
Might just buy Brick Bank instead.

Spoke to the manager in the local Lego shop. He said 10% drop on Slave 1 and Tie Fighter, 15 - 20 on normal sets and 15 on Ewok Village and Sandcrawler.
It takes about 2 years usually before a UCS set is retired sometimes more. I wouldn't worry about it. The Slave 1 is insanely popular and Lego won't throw away a cash cow, look at how long the Death Star set lasted. lol
That's assuming that The Ewok Village and The Sandcrawler aren't retired by May.
I've given this a go too as picked up a couple of bits at the weekend not realising it started yesterday.. doh!

At least one of the people I mentioned who it had worked for got nowhere with the first person they spoke to, but had more joy when calling back and trying someone else. Maybe worth a second try...

No need to rush as the dreadful Ewok Village will still be available even at 50% off! The most I've even seen on decent sets was 10% off which was back in the good old days when you could order 99x R2-D2 if you wanted to. Any fool knows that a set with a worthwhile discount will be either sold out or limited to 1.
Local one does 10% off on pick a brick if you get 3 or more tubs at once.
Not a chance, you are more likely to be banned as being suspected of being a reseller.
You have too much time on your hands. I just picked up the phone and I was done in 2 minutes. People are so "telephobic" these days!
Only on the balance you pay. Double VIP time is the worst time to spend your points.
