Do you get the ball? If so can you get a discount if you don't want it as I only intend to wield the bat :D

Pretty handy for a visit to your local Tory club, they might listen about the way they're treating the young people of this country. The last riots like this came under a Tory government too. High unemployment, high inflation, cuts to youth services, take away the EMA which supported them in higher education. Taken away aspirations of going to uni. Cuts to police numbers on the streets causing police moral to an all time low. Tories = party of the rich governing for the rich as usual.
Anyway enought spouting off on my orange box and have some heat OP.

Best to keep the ball on you as well, then you cant be picked up by the filth for wielding a dangerous weapon. ;) Heat added! If I didn't buy one from Aldi last time they were on offer, I would buy this one. Only way to protect your car badges from the chavs round our end.

Cause and effect I'm afraid... when you have a government in power for many years and they waste all the country's money, sell off all the gold reserves at a low price, causing the country's credit rating down and raising major debt. There is only one way out, loads of tax, and some recession, whichever government is in power now would have had to do the same. Blair saw the signs of the usual labour overspend and knew when to get out.

If you have ever lived in the areas affected you will know that street robbery/vehicle robbery/residential burglary's are high.
This is nothing to do with anything apart from young people wanting to fill their boots when it seems the police are powerless.
But, remember what happened to the rioters in Oldham some years ago they were hunted down and served long sentences.

IN YOUR OPINION. My kids no longer think they can carry on with their education and will end up in a dead end job, if there are any ! I would gladly help the rioters if it would change things but under the Tories you might aswell bang your head against a wall. They were warned by the head of the bank of England about civil unrest due to cuts and he was right.

Errr, I don't think any of the youths involved in the riots were ever destined for higher eductaion, EMA or no EMA...

So you approve of what those scum thugs and thieves are doing?
I wonder if you'd have the same opinion if your car and house, along with your prized possesions and sentimental items get burned to the ground by said rioters.

Or are you simply confusing 'rioting' with 'protesting'?

couldnt agree with you more mate, i remember the ikea edmonton opening, people were robbed in store at checkouts from what i recall. people just need an excuse to behave in this pathetic manner, we just have to accept that some people have a different set of morals and beliefs to the rest of us.

get the water cannons and plastic bullets out and impose a curfew. If there are people out and about, even onlooking, they are more than fair game. and take the bbc and sky news off the air and let the police get on with their job without fear of repraisal

I would agree about morals and principles. But, i enjoy a bank error in my favour just as much as the next man!
I think it is a testament to the consumeristic era we live in. These people cannot afford the £100 Nike trainers in Footlocker neither can they afford the £800 LCD tellys Currys sell.
They do not want to work for £7 p/h. And getting an education takes too long.
They are bombarded with messages of ipad2 and Sony 3DTV when even the ipad1 and LCD tv's are still unaffordable to them. So they rob/steal/sell drugs.
I can't afford a 3DTV either but i wouldn't steal it.
They feel as though the world owes them a living.

What would your solution be then? Keep borrowing till we're in the same mess as Greece?

Use your nut. All the cuts are going to do is bring Public spending back to the levels of 05/06.

These kids are feral. Perhaps the decent people in different communities, should get together and form militias to protect their homes/property? Seems the police don't want to do it, stood at the end of streets, watching kids wreak havoc and destruction.

It must have been terrifying for people. We will all need baseball bats, or worse, soon to defend ourselves.

Whilst this is all very amusing (and remember opinions are like backsides - everyone has one and most of them smell) I am more interested if Quidco applies on looted stuff and how are my consumer rights on returns affected if my trainers are subject to a five finger discount.

There is no excuse for violent protest in the society we live in - if you disagree go live somewhere else or in a zoo. Unless it is made clear that this sort of behaviour is no longer acceptable and that there are some very serious consequences you might as well all buy yourself a bat and save the government the trouble of drafting the army in.

Imbecile.

These riots have nothing to do with change or protest - they're about an idiot minority who want to steal and destroy other peoples' property for their own gain and entertainment.
