I've been waiting for the physical version, out June 30th. Minecraft Wii U Edition, includes the Super Mario Mash-Up DLC. Same price as the Nintendo eShop digital version, but obviously physical disc for those that prefer it, free delivery, 2% cashback with Quidco

sorted byYou're comparing prices of a title that has been released for sometime on those platforms. I believe the PS4 version launched at around £19, and let's face it, Minecraft is so much better optimised for the Wii U, and has the Super Mario Mash Up pack, so there

It actually seems fair seeing as it comes with several of the DLC add-ons that would have to be bought separately on other versions.
I've had a look back to my comment, and can't see anywhere where I stated it was anything other than free? Little tongue in cheek joke that has obviously got your backs up.
But it's a launch price title for the Wii U, quoting todays pricing for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 is absolutely pointless, especially given that it was released on the X360 in 2012. It's £19.99 for a Nintendo Wii U title, an extremely popular title, and you think under £20 isn't a bargain and/or is overpriced? oO
I think others may disagree.
Xbox One: shopto.net/vid…ion - £12.86
PS4: base.com/buy…htm - £14.99
Compared to the other versions the Wii U version is overpriced but there'll people here claiming "supply and demand" because it's on a Nintendo platform.
It is not over priced that much in the sense that it came to the Wii U pretty late in the day. But like your alluding to there is always going to be a premium price to pay when it's on the format of the nations favourite console.
No. I'm well aware it's on digital but I prefer a physical release
_______
I guess it will be like that at the beginning. It's not even released on physical and the offer here is £20 on release day. Then a few quid cheaper a few weeks later (I may be wrong of course.)

I agree I was hanging for a Wii U version but ended up giving up and getting it on PS4 for £8 a while back. The prospect of now paying £20 ages after is not that appealing sadly...
Great for those that haven't played/want the Mario mash-up though...
One, the Super Mario DLC is free and two, it's not really better optimised than any of the other versions. That's just false advertisement.
Exactly.
It comes with the free Super Mario DLC pack that's on the eShop. Nothing new.
So much better optimised my @rs€. What's the most unique feature of the Wii U? The gamepad. Do they use it properly. Like hell they do!
The Super Mario Mash Up pack is free and the game released long before this pack was announced.
If it was "better" and "optimised" then the GamePad would have been used to its advantage to keep the tools available but it's nothing more than a quick decent port. £20 is overpriced for Minecraft when it clearly is available for cheaper elsewhere and no, I don't care about the Mario DLC pack (which is available for download free on the eShop).
Yeah, just like Watch Dogs was "optimised" to use the Wii U and the GamePad.
Precisely!
You're pretending like the Mario DLC pack wasn't already available before this.
Cube life only about a third the price.
Cube life simultaneous two player (one on tv, one on pad).
Cube life actually uses the touchscreen for inventory management.
My 9 year old and 7 year old play Cube life more than any other game.
It soon became apparent to me there was no need for me to buy minecraft on my wii, this needs to be a lot cheaper (below a fiver) to be considered a bargain.

Cold.
My experience so far has been the Nintendo shop on the console has a price, and then cheaper at a retailer if you want to buy a physical copy of the game. Basically as if you are paying a premium for the convenience of being able to buy and download on the console.
It's been on the Nintendo eShop for £19.99 for a while, it's released on disc on the 30th June. Most places seem to have it available for pre-order at £24.99, including Amazon and the Nintendo Official UK online Store. So for anyone looking to buy a physical copy for Wii U, this is currently the best deal.
yeah I'm sure there will be better deals! My nephew is desperate for it & it's his birthday in July so I'm more than happy to pay this and have it for him! :-)
