They dropped the ultra last year and only had the pro.

So is this pro not the flagship and are they defo making the ultra again?

I have the 40 pro from last year and had 9 months of crashes and freezes which they refused to accept. Hundred or thousands of people reported the issue on the Moto forums and they pretty much ignored the issue.

    Really bad after sales support.

After android 14 update, the phone now works without crashes, but there are issues with camera focus now which his annoying.

Personally, even though the specs on Moto phones seem good, the software is not working correctly and I would therefore not buy or recommend a Moto phone ever again. (edited)

It seems to me that edge 40 neo is a better deal and this is not much of an update. Quite disappointing,,improvements,, and pricing

Whether it's a better deal or not I am not going to argue. When it comes to improvements, almost every aspect is an improvement on Edge 40 neo. Sharper, brighter screen, gorilla glass on the front , faster processor, better cameras, wireless charging, longer software support .

Great phone but the deal breaker is UFS 2.2
Current midranges have minimum 3.1 and flagships 4.0, so big no no from me.

Seems strange as 40 edge pro is 4.0

I think the 7+ Gen 2 is faster than this new chip?

    Only 2 years of updates.

3 years. It was released with Android 14 and Android 17 will be the final OS version it receives.

Lenovo poor update policy is a deal breaker for me (esp on any phone costing more than around £150).

So ...whilst I like a clean OS... this one is not for me.

Good reduction on a brand new release. I'm looking forward to seeing what they offer the Edge 50 Fusion for.

Heat for the huge reduction on a ridiculous MSRP.
They will not be selling many of theses anytime soon.

If only they'd make flagships with flat screens

This is good in hand. Doesn't feel big and is easy to operate. Saying this based on experience with edge 40 neo.

    Shame not a 8gen plus+

    Looking forward to ultra

The Edge 50 line is out already?! Seems like the edge 40 line was just released

£400+ for Snapdragon 7 gen 3 is not ideal. This should have been sd8 gen 2. Still decent find.

I don't see any offer or code at Perks at work for this. What am I missing?

52592639-Q7w0c.jpgThis is all I see. No offer for edge 50.

This phone or the pixel 7 pro(128gb) for the same price? How's the camera on this one?
    DealTron's avatar
Pixel would give you better photos I think.
    This is better multimedia phone.

Although I see free moto buds+. (edited)

Loving the Edge 40 Neo, I think I'll stay with Motorola for my next phone. Probably going to wait for some deals on the Ultra though. Heat for the big discount.

Yep the 30% reductions across the site for PAW users have been changed to 20%... Annoying.

Pardon me for a dumb question but how would this compare to the iPhone 15 Pro max? The price and specs look insanely good for bang for buck

How is this plus 491 degrees at the time of writing?! I mean, yes, absolutely I get that it's a reduction but the UK/EU price is awful, the phone has so many issues and the 4K video is terrible (awful stutters when you pan), it's like Motorola are trading on people's good memories of the Edge 40.

I don't know if the Indian market model is different from the UK one, I'm assuming it must be given the variance in reviews, but I'd wait until we're past the 'things they'll hopefully sort with firmware phase', keeping in mind that even many of the sucking up 'review' channels have pointed out how terrible Motorola are with software update commitments, and then, if the price has gone down, have another think.

Excuse me venting, I appreciate if you were for some reason planning to get it no matter what and to shell out £600 and had the opportunity to get it for less with perks at work, it's a deal.
