This is one of the best AMD AM4 B550 boards. I think it went up to around £180 at one point. But as exciting as this board was in 2021, it is really lacking against the competition now in 2023.

If anyone is thinking of buying this board I would guide you to consider jumping to LGA1700 instead. You can reuse your DDR4.

What's the obvious benefits to using the B760 over B550?

Apologies for the naivety, very new when it comes to PC builds and I've heard plenty of good things from PC Builder on youtube regarding the B550

Might want to update the name in the listing. This board will support ANY AM4 Ryzen CPU, but may need a bios update for 5000 series chips

A non issue as this mobo supports BIOS flashing without CPU or RAM!

Very tempted to upgrade my b450 so I can have PCI 4.0. Not sure if its worth tho

Not really, only for high spec SSDs even then unless you're moving files back and forth all the time you wouldnt tell the difference from a PCI 3.0 SSD.

Even my 6800 XT runs on PCI 4.0 x8 which is equivalent to 3.0 x16 and no difference in fps.

I cant believe these boards are more expensive than they were in 2020 (if you factor in the promo for a steam code they were giving back then)and still getting heat!

I bought this board in 2020 for £119 from OCUK.
I had to replace it in October 2022 - Amazon were selling it for £130, but OOS for 6 weeks (stock being sent from Amazon.de).

The night before it was due to be sent, I got an email to say Amazon were cancelling the order.

When I looked at buying again, the price was £280.

    Absolute mickey-takers.

I've had this board for a few years and it's been rock solid.

I find these prices too be so poor these should be around £100 mark now how the prices can be the same if not higher then when first launched is terrible.
