5G capability

Say bye-bye to buffering. The super-fast 5G-ready connection zips through downloads at record pace. Stream, browse, and watch whatever you want, wherever you want. Waiting forever for your Instagram feed to load up will be a distant memory.

Immersive screen, with super vivid colour

It’s more of the same dazzling display that wow’d us on the Pixel 6. Just a bit bigger. The 6.3-inch OLED display comes HDR-enabled and has a 90Hz variable refresh rate. Put in plain English (don’t worry, we had to look up half of that too), those fancy numbers and letters mean you get smooth scrolling and superb colour on a clear, bright, movie-style screen.

Dust, drop and splash resistant

The Pixel 7 safeguards you from any little oops, with IP68 water and dust resistance. The screen also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, making it tougher and less prone to scratches.

Your safety is Pixel's priority.

Your Pixel looks out for you with the Personal Safety app. In an emergency, Pixel can automatically call for help, share your location or record a video.

Simply touch to unlock

With face unlock and the on-screen fingerprint sensor, you can instantly log in to your apps and websites without compromising on security.

Make photobombers disappear

Magic Eraser is a real game-changer. With a few taps, you can remove strangers and unwanted objects from pics. Or change the colour and brightness of an object, so that it blends right in. It’s never been easier to forget about your ex. The camera that makes you feel seen Real Tone represents more skin tones beautifully, authentically and accurately in photos, videos and Meet video calls.

And… action!

Bring more drama to videos. Cinematic Blurkeeps your subject in focus and blurs the background for a dramatic effect. Hello, Hollywood.

It's everything that a battery should be

Pixel's Adaptive Battery can last over 24 hours. Turn on Extreme Battery Saver, and the battery can last up to 72 hours. And your Pixel charges super fast.

This or the 7a? Which is better?
    yorkie12's avatar
The 7a is the budget version of this.

Worst finger print sensor ever, carried over from the P6 which I had. Poor hardware in the Pixels.

Came here to say that :-) It's the worst part of the phone. Although, face unlock is crap as well. Other than that, I think it's a great phone and at this price good value for money.

Any better phone for the price please?
    Spudbrains's avatar
The only other thing on my radar is the Xiaomi POCO X6 Pro for around the same price. Other than that I'm unsure. Very close to pulling the trigger on this as it's insanely cheap for what it is.

    Is this brand new?
    innocent's avatar
In my experience, when Cheapest_electrical say it is New, it is brand new. In fact when you add it to the basket/buy it, it will tell you it is NEW. Anyway MrSwitch wouldn't put it in the title if it wasn't. (edited)

    Possible 8% Quidco as well.
    Daveee's avatar
Impossible with Quidco! They almost never pay out

Had this since launch. Fantastic phone, does everything you need. I'm not even going to bother upgrading later this year as its still that good. This is an absolute bargain
    Czubaka's avatar
I have pixel 7 and recently bought wife Pixel 8 - I think it's got a nicer screen and it's more compact, but similarly I don't see myself upgrading for a couple of years (edited)

How much do people reckon the 8a will be? Not sure if to wait on that or bite....
    DopeyDunker's avatar
Not less than £450 but probably not more than £500 is my guess. I don't think it'll be £200 better than the Pixel 7. Just my opinion of course.
I owned the 8 and I prefer the 7 to be honest. For me the 7 is just about the perfect size. Mind you, my opinion of the 8 is a bit tarnished as I had 2 and both had the bumps under the display issue so went back. (edited)

What's the FP scanner like on this? It was bad on one of the pixels but can't remember if it was this one.

    Thanks
    asylmuha's avatar
It's not great. Very hot and miss. But there's a trick to it. It doesn't like dry fingers. If you're getting a lot of errors, rub your finger on your forehead or ear lobe and then it works without fail. Sounds like I'm joking, but I'm not. Google probably cheaped out on the fp sensor so it's not great with dry skin

I have the pixel 6, is it worth upgrading to the 7 this is a tempting deal
    FlyingSquirrel's avatar
The boosted trade-in for the 7 through Google will be similar to this price. I would say it is a good buy
  10. diehardguy's avatar
Are these returns or some other scan? Anyone received one? Some of the eBay reviews are dire. (edited)
    Mr.Plow's avatar
These are new, the same seller also deals in returns though.

Been out of the phone upgrade game for a while. How much of an upgrade would this be over my trusty Huawei mate 20 pro which is still going strong (apart from Android/security updates)?
Also not bothered about 5g. (edited)
  12. DopeyDunker's avatar
Brilliant phone for this price. Love mine. Haven't even been tempted to look at another phone since I got this 6 months ago and I used to change my phone every other month! 🔥 (edited)

what is the battery life like?

Code clinches it for this brand new Pixel 7 from unquestionably decent merchant. Much heat 🔥🔥
  14. thingswelike's avatar
Every phone with a camera better than this costs double. Hot.
  15. Spudbrains's avatar
Paralysed by choice, might wait and see what the 8A looks like but honestly I don't think the value for money gets much better than this unless buying something from the likes of Xiaomi.
    dannyeff's avatar
    I'm in the same boat.

I've got an s22 and due for upgrade next month.

Tempted by the 8 pro but holding out to see what the 8a brings

Well done OP! Been waiting for a new 7 to come in under £300. Ordered and looks like over 10 remaining - Hot
    joelfl2's avatar
It was £299.50 a month ago in new condition with plenty of stock, so it's not the first time. Approximately £20 saving is roughly in line with the average depreciation per month since release. Anyway, good deal.
  22. K1664's avatar
Poco F3 just packed in so this is great timing. Ordered. No issues with code. Hopefully will be a step up!

    No

Would this phone be a good upgrade over a Pixel 4 XL? what would i be missing minus the updates? (edited)
  30. Ambling's avatar
Decent seller? Looks like 8 series can be had for best current price too.
    innocent's avatar
Also 6 series seems to be at favourable price there.

Great device overall (I own it around 10 months) but call quality could have been better. If you talk for a longer than 10-15 min its getting worse, straight to the point where you have no choice but to end the call and call back.

I thought it might be a network or sim issue but tested the same card in another phone - no problems at all.
    DopeyDunker's avatar
I've has no issues at all with call quality and I have been on some very long calls on family business over the last couple of months. Are you sure it's not due to your location / network?
  33. Inspector_Gadget's avatar
Would anyone have any suggestions for a phone with both wireless charging and an SD slot about this price?
  34. noeljennings's avatar
Is the code working for people? It's not for me

Yes worked for me. Had to enter it manually but it's working.

    Code won't work for me?
  38. Nicolas's avatar
    Just a word of warning
These idiots will block you if you dare return a phone, even if it has scratches in it
    inertia's avatar
This is new though…so theoretically sealed…
  39. tm_simpson's avatar
Any recommendations for a case and screen protector. Thanks
    Czubaka's avatar
I use Spigen Rugged Armour - I've always had good experiences with Spigen cases. Screen protector - just buy whatever. I've only slapped screen protector on mine after using it for a year and noticing scratches (edited)
