About this deal

A good price for this unusual Rye whiskey. Instead of the normal Pennsylvania Style / Monongahela Style of 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley, this uses 95% Rye and 5% Malted Rye and is a 100% Rye Mashbill.

Free collection from The Whisky Exchange stores in London or from their Head Office.

£62.27 at Master of Malt here and over £70, elsewhere!

I have the same problem - have enough stuff to last me a while!

This is a seriously good bargain, you will struggle to find another barrel proof US rye this low.

And the New Riff rye products are all rather good. (edited)

Rye whiskey is also versatile for making cocktails. 20 cocktails you can make with it:
    liquor.com/sli…ls/

The Sazerac and the Manhattan are the famous uses of Rye whiskey in cocktails.

Some information about the three different classes of Rye Whiskies:
    vinepair.com/art…ed/

1.) Pennsylvania Style / Monongahela Style

Typically around 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley. MGP is the biggest producer of this style and used in Templeton Rye and Bulleit Rye. No Corn is used so the least sweetest form of Rye whiskey.

    2.)Maryland Style

Upto 70% Rye,with the rest being Corn and Malted Barley.

    3.)Kentucky Style

Between 51% to 55% Rye and the rest being Corn and Malted Barley. The sweetest form of Rye whiskey.

Sazerac and Jack Daniels Rye are examples of the latter two styles.Sazerac is closer to the latter and Jack Daniels Rye closer to the latter.

    Whistlepigs is my goto rye

Pick up a bottle of Alberta Permium (if you can), it is way superior to any Whistlepig.

Hedonism had stock and reduced to £66 a bottle from memory, a real give away at that price. (edited)
