To anyone that has one of these how accurately does it hit the desired temperature with varying amounts of water, ie if you select 90C and you boil the minimum amount of water does it tend to overshoot but if you boil half a kettle it stops at the desired temperature?

    Serious honest questions

1: I'm sure I read some where to boil water once due to the properties change by re boiling water so why would you want a doubled skinned kettle ( which I assume are plastic) to keep water warm to re boil. Unless it's not to re boil and just to keep warm ( what then do you use wam water for)

2: I think I read on here stainless steel are a better material Vs glass or plastic for a kettle

3: it's interesting to read you would want to heat water to a lower temperature for green tea. Is this so you can drink it more quickly or is it a taste thing.

    Thank you

Just spotted this on the sage model. Different temps for different teas. I feel enlightened. (edited)

Ninja really have mastered the technique of slapping their logo on mundane kitchen items, adding a couple of additional unnecessary features hardly anyone will use and then getting people to pay silly prices .....

Honestly just get a normal double walled/insulated kettle and it'll stay hot for pretty long afterwards. Most kettles, even expensive ones, have thin shells which lose heat very quickly because they expect you to use the water immediately. Double walled ones work like double glazing windows and will of course keep the air trapped in for ages in comparison.

Is the plastic window to check water levels in contact with the water?. Pretty dumb to offer stainless if then you are going to add plastic to it.

I have one. Replaced temperature controlled Bosch. Louder and not insulated. But no Beeeep! And switches off immediately, unlike bosch when some calc covering a probe. Would buy again.

I wonder if they sell those kettles at all given there are plenty of better options I.e. even Bosch at lower price than this.
