I bought one of these recently and I have to be honest, I find myself using my old style Philips hue switches. I wrongly assumed that the 4 buttons could act as an on\off switch for different zones, and while they kinda do, the system prioritizes changing scenes over being able to turn off. For example, button 1 turns on my lights in the kitchen\diner area, if I press button 1 again it just changes the lights to another scene, I have to press and hold for a couple of seconds to turn them off. I know this is seriously 1st world issue, but turning the lights on and off is the vastly more common process I want, not to change my lights to a sunset scene. When I'm leaving the room I just want to press the switch to turn the lights off as a walk out, like a normal light switch!
There's part of me hoping someone here will correct me and say you can do that. Because physically and cosmetically this switch feels and looks great. I would much rather press and hold for a scene change, which feels the more logical setup to me. (edited)
