For the £300 I'd look at the new Poco F6, it'll beat the A55 all day long, after 5 mins with the A55 I boxed it up and sent it back, slow & laggy!

Interesting. Genuinely surprised that Samsung or any phone manufacturer would still push out a device that isn't snappy with general use nowadays. It was definitely common in the '10s... but I figure cheaper SoCs must surely offer pretty reasonable performance at this stage? If they've still not taken notice of how Xiaomi do things for the mid-range segment that's concerning. (edited)

Has the price gone up ? Total cost shows £229
    Glynevans101's avatar
    I also get £229

Fantastic spec for the money in fairness.

I'm in the market for a new mid-ranger but will probably still fork out £300 on a lesser phone (Samsung A55).

Don't even ask me why because I couldn't give a logical explanation!

(Maybe just because it has a more premium feel and look even though this blows it out of the water under the hood).

For the record I don't care about the camera. Seldom use it. (edited)

To be honest I prefer the Samsung experience to Poco’s - much more customisable

Oh is this the cheap-ish 5G phone I've been looking for. (edited)

Hard to make a case against it

    Will the pro drop anyone?
    bigbolam's avatar
If they follow the pattern of past years, you may get the pro for £199 by mid August.

So why would it still be up live and current?
I'm new to the site so unsure as to how it works

A downgrade in numbers does not mean a downgrade in performance. The X6 had a 2 generation improvement on the ISP and OIS which will be a massive boost in a senarios unless you use a gamble
Add 4K video and a massive bump in soc performance over the SD695, charging speeds, screen etc, its a easy upgrade (edited)

This or the A55 if they’re the same price?
    Caitlin2102's avatar
The A55 is £100 more expensive.
Even then this has a better spec but the A55 might have a slightly more premium look if it's style over substance.

    eSIM support?
    colgrigson's avatar
No, annoyingly things like wireless charging and eSIM support are rare on any Poco/Xiaomi phone. Not sure why though.

Quest to existing Xiaomi users, how do you rate the mobile reception? My old poco is amazing apart from the signal quality, i rarely get full strength and any mid to low areas it drops connection completely.

Mobile reception quality has dropped dramatically with withdrawal of 3G, I have felt the effects across:
    Samsung
    Apple
    Oneplus
    Google
    Xiaomi
    OPPO
    Huawei
With a noticeable reduction in speeds attainable. (edited)

Is the f6 worth the extra?
    Is the camera much better?
    Thanks

    no micro sd card slot?
  13. telephone100's avatar
Hi. Any problems with battery life? Thanks.

a worthwhile upgrade from the X3 Pro? Other halfs has started at random times having a period of constant reboots where the volume bounces up and down too. She's either dropped it too many times or got some junk inside it from gardening etc, once stops works fine for a few days then same again.

Mostly for her for camera quality really and storage space to horde tons of pics that noone wants to look at

    Scott_Dempsey's avatar
    same any idea why?

Can't seem to get it down to this price, will wait. My X3 NFC is getting slower but still working

Got this phone last week it's really good. The fast charging and weight are two big pluses for me personally speaking

Edit anyone got any recommendations on a nice cover have the stock one that came with the phone on at the moment which kind of does the job I guess (edited)
