I'm bit stuck too upgrading from F1 too, all new Snapdragon chipsets seem to offer similar performance to 845, but my F1 seems to have started to suffer ghost touch.

I have netflix working all ok on mine. My main issue with the F2 is the size and weight. It's a pretty big bit of kit!

I'm also an F1 user, and like it so much that I'm also considering the F2 - only things I don't like on the F1 is no Netflix, stopped getting notifications for some apps (ie Gmail), the inability to remove or hide muii apps (like contacts) and the fact that it's an ugly phone. I'm also looking at the Nord, but those videos on youtube showing its fragility is off-putting.

Have you tried citra and redream?

Same here that's why I ordered the Poco f2 pro at 285 today

Given the choice, I'd go white

Poco f2 pro is better than this unless your a high refresh rate addict lol high refresh rate doesn't really bother me I would prefer better battery life so happy to stay at 60hz and much prefer having Snapdragon 865 over mediatek chip plus Poco f2 pro has global version and can be picked up cheaper

You never can tell what is really going on, but for the he last three years the latest arm architecture has not been made available to Samsung or Huawei with pityful excuses being made. This has Created fanboy it heaven. (cheeky)

wow 2 months is a long wait. Which site did you order from?

I am still using an old Note 5. Are they up to Note 10's already? :D

Chinese warranty? What warranty? Do you want to send your phone back and never see it again? There is virtually no warranty buying from China I had to learn this hard time never again!

I don't keep phones for long. So I chop and change up and down all the time, and I respect your opinion :)

Mi 9T Pro and xiaomi.eu Rom - LLoyds and Halifax, Google Pay, PayPal, Chip works without any issues.

And you sold your Poco f2 pro ? In my opinion it's better than all the phones you own

Wait for it’s replacement, the Mi-11, which is expected to start around £459; release date expected in November. Far better specs, and dual sim plus micro sd expansion slot.

Without trying to stereotype, it's almost an exclusive requirement for Indians/Chinese/Africans. I've done some reading to try and understand the appeal and there's a few articles that state that in places like India, you'll have network operators that offer cheap minutes, another cheap mobile data and it's kind of the only way to get a consistent service. That's not to say that people don't use them for their businesses and the like, but yeah, mystery solved.

:D sorry Golly, I'll change start date

The landing page is a mess, don't know why Xiaomi can't just start the deals straightaway!

It's changed. When it was posted, the initial confusion was was it yesterday midnight or tonight midnight. Now it's a new date completely and it was replaced by a suitcase!

The deal starts on the 17th at midnight, not today.

What a nightmare. One, you gotta put up with that awful, nauseating music. Impossible to buy this phone at this price. They moved suitcase in it's place as the daily midnight deal. Now it's 'coming soon'! If you click on buy now, it's full price... So I'm out, and cos I'm so stubborn, I won't even attempt to buy it now as my miniscule form of protest...and I was waving my cash at the screen saying 'take that you ****'. MI's loss

I must admit I do love this phone. It's not for everyone though. Yesterday I unlocked the bootloader and installed pixelexperience ROM. Was relatively straightforward and painless. Took about 30 mins after the small faff of creating a mi account to unlock bootloader. Amazing ROM. Android 10 with latest security patches and it's very well supported. Supposed to support ota android patches too. Amazingly quick and responsive. If you don't want to go down the custom ROM route I would advise removing the bloatware. There's a script to do it automatically if you Google for it. Also disable miui optimisations and a few other tweaks. That tend to fix a lot of issues such as battery drain. The rotate glitch is not always an issue and I think it's something to do with the compass being a bit flakey. Then install gcam and the camera is amazing. Better than my Huawei p20 in my opinion.

3850mah, not that big

You get my point

Heavy means quality? Sure maybe bigger battery smartphones are not made of cast iron are they?

I haven't play with my location since I got the phone. So not sure what else could be causing this. I will have to leave it alone if no luck after a few more attempt (confused)

@awh on wowcam it says band 3 and 20 ! not sure what the right specs are as it also says china and other regions bit confusing!

Depends if it's the global version or the Chinese version. The global version has band 3 and 20 (three) The Chinese seems to only have 3.

Does this work with Three mobile I thinks its band 18 and 20 not sure thou!

It’ll likely have some water resistance but official ratings, no.

Yeah black for me too. I'm not really keen on these multi-tonal sparkly designs manufactures are pushing for. Blue looks best for this for this imo

Only you can decide that, I'm a bit boring and I tend to go for black phones but as they don't do it I'd get the grey, although I reckon the white looks nice, probably actually nicer than grey followed by blue and last choice for me purple which would be quite unique as I've not seen many folk with purple phones.

Which is the best colour?

No Android Pay, no band 20 LTE, no multi-language support, Chinese bloatware apps. It's very easy to install GMS as Xiaomi phones are still certified by Google unlike Huawei phones.

Really like what this phone has to offer in the camera department! Can someone please advise what problems I would encounter getting Chinese ROM version e.g. is it multi-lanuage during setup, no band for UK? Will some networks work? How easy assuming English is an option to install Google services etc... I would consider an import if some workarounds are possible e.g. similar to Huawei for example

Here is a GSM ARENA article 2 days ago (the launch day) that right at the end of the article it says "International availability was not detailed but we’re expecting Xiaomi to hold a separate event for it soon enough." article here https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_10_ultra_is_here_with_120w_wired_charging_120x_zoom_periscope_and_snapdragon_865-news-44698.php I wouldn't be surprised if it was to be re-badged as a Mi 10 PRO PLUS for the international market

No, I wouldn't say so, unless camera is number 1 priority, I wouldn't pay the extra for the other two.

Thanks man I was looking at the note 10 plus or the Mi 10 but not sure it's worth the extra on the poco, what is your opinion Mr switch

Nice one. You almost got the phone for a China-ish price, but includes UK warranty!

Yep. I was the same. I just said I'm happy with the phone itself but disappointed that it's shipped with an EU charger as id bought from Amazon UK. Asked for a partial refund He initially offered 50 but I asked for 65 as "I would need to import an official charger and would incur delivery fees" and he did it straight away

Got it on the previous Amazon deal when it was 379. Had 20 quid credit from Amazon due to previous orders being delayed so paid 359. Contacted them today about the EU charger and managed to get a 65 quid refund

I got the wasp pic 😰 the 🐛 was the puzzle. I'm amazed at the level of detail, these phone cameras have improved immeasurably over the last few years. Thanks for posting, I love seeing and taking macro shots. I wonder which other phones, if any, are as adept as this Xiaomi at capturing such detail. Cheers 🌞

Decisions, decisions, redmi note 9 with power bank or stretch to the pro with mi band (which I'd use).... Hmmm.... Recently bought standard redmi 9 for daughter but bit big for her, but I've been loving it, but returning and going for wee model upgrade, for anyone moving from an old phone like I was/am you're in for a treat.

It is. But most people won't notice it. Personally I'd go for the pro. Well have done already. Want another.

Nfc yes but the biggest difference is main camera and it's not just 64 against 48 it's the possibilities specially in darkness. A lot of reviews saying camera software in Pro model is advanced.

Good phone for a good price for the 8/256gb model. Idk about wow camera though, especially when dealing with half a grand.

A HUKD user has been posting about dodgy trading practices by WOW Camera in previous threads. They apparently changed their T's and C's to comply with European distance selling regs a few months ago but charged our user a restocking fee which would be illegal. I don't know if HUKD have investigated this and cleared WOW Camera?
