Without any support across the middle it looks like it could be a bit wobbly.

I have it and it does wobble like crazy

I don't think I'd trust this there appears to be a joint on the upward poles which surely will be a weak point, as a starter people may aswell just buy a £20 hook over the door pull up bar.

I've tried these in the past and have had limited choice which door frames I could use with them.
For the doors I could mount the bar to, the bar tended to damage both the door frame and the wall above it

Really? I have been trying to do leg curls on mine but haven't figured how to yet

I had this and returned it after day 1. It’s thick and sturdy but with the exception of being slightly wobbly if that makes any sense. It didn’t have firm connections between each pieces when put together. To top it off, it’s certainly NOT portable. The thing is a nightmare to break down and pack away which defeats the purpose of being portable. (edited)

I think a better option is something made out of galvanised handrail tubes / scaffold tubes if you have the room.

    e.g.:
    ebay.co.uk/itm…721

The uprights could be fence posts to make it slightly less "industrial" looking.

They have a website too and you can buy all the individual parts. I've been looking at it to make something for gymnastics for my kids (and pullups for me).
